Re: Entheovision - 21-22 August, 2004 - (Berlin, Germany)
Entheovision 4
Yearly Conference of Psychonautical Science Botanischer Garten, Berlin, Germany 29th-30th September 2007 Referenten: Dr. Jochen Gartz, Tibor Harrach, Dr. Joachim Eul, Werner Pieper, Julia Seeliger, Frank Fuchs, Steffen Geyer, Jan W. Heising, Dr. Torsten Passie, Hans Cousto, Hans-Georg Schaaf, Micky Remann ... The convention series “Entheovision” deals with topics around consciousness altering plants and substances, including observations in politics; botany; psychology; ethnology and in aspects of pharmacology. The overall framework of the convention is geared toward persons who privately or as a main profession (i.e. political drug activists, independent researchers, reseachers without income, third-party researchers, laymen, specialty retailers for Entheobotanic and personnel from drug consultancy posts) deal with the subject matter of consciousness altering plants and substances. Alongside politicians and political activists, doctors and other medical personnel will be explicitly addressed. In lieu thereof, we hope for some inflow/participation from people who contend and or deal with the ramifications of cognitive absence amongst patients in the drug world (e.g. addiction difficulty, social and psychological problems). The entrance fee will be primarily held at a minimal cost for accordant groups of low-income (60 € both days). Moreover, the style of the convention is respectively comfortable and colorful. It is not a high gloss, fancy-nancy convention but rather a free and easy, informal meeting point- for this reason Entheovision conventions always take place in the vicinity of an attached parking lot. The talks/lectures are composed in such a way that they could enrich a listener’s knowledge, whether the listener has general know-how or is a professionally qualified scholar. In the event that this is not so, the convention always offers the possibilty of expertise to be shared and further explored in workshops (interactive talks in smaller participant circles- akin to a seminar). In such cases, the main talk depicts the substructures or basics of popular science and the deep technical aspects are considered separately. Re: Entheovision - Yearly Conference of Psychonautical Science (Berlin, Germany)
Sounds cool!
Honestly though I do not recognize any of those names. Maybe I should I be ashamed of myself. ![]() Didn't find information regarding the spoken language at the conferences, but the website kinda indicates that most of them will be in german. Does anybody know for sure? I've always wanted to visit such a conference, but never have been able to due to the high admission prices and or long travel distances. Germany is not too far, but I speak no more than two or three words of german so I might get bummed when I get there anyway.

Re: Entheovision - Yearly Conference of Psychonautical Science (Berlin, Germany)
I don't know all the names either. Werner Pieper has written some nice books on ethnobotanicals and Jochen Gartz is a mycological expert. Yes, the language will be the German language. A conference on a parking lot? It better not rain then.
Please add this to the calendar. |

Re: Entheovision - Yearly Conference of Psychonautical Science (Berlin, Germany)
Sounds interesting. Does anyone know if this will be a mumbo-jumbo/mystical-oriented conference, or more science-oriented?
