Drug info - Clove Cigars and Cigarettes (Kreteks)

Anyone ever smoke Indonesian clove cigs? They have eugenol in them.


Just curious, might be something to try. Where can I get pure eugenol?

Cloves tend to be harsh on the throat because they have fiber glass in them. I wouldn't recommend smoking them regularly.

Sure, they were popular in the USA (particularly) in the 1980's among many alternative subcultures (e.g. new wavers). The smell/taste brings back a lot of good memories for me, I used to hit a lot of euro-wave dance clubs & smoke clove cigs all night, dance the night away and pick up cute girls (LOL).



Not really a high. They taste good, are much harder on the lungs than regular cigarettes, & that's about it (IMHO). I can't ever remember getting anything even resembling a buzz.

pure eugenol should be readily available from your chemical supplier. it is not watched at all, afaik.

All i smoke is cloves the black kind i wouldnt recomend it to
others because i started to cough up blood after about 3 months of a
pack every 2 days but they do give you a better feeling than a normal
cigarette i cant even smoke normal tobaco anymore cloves just taste so
much better

Ohyeah I love kretek. Its really good. Uve got really nice kretek here called djarum. Its super duper tasty. I smoke djarum when I drink hard liqour. Red label supers.

clove cigarrets are definitely quite nice. I havn't smoked them for a while and can't even remember which brand i did. They definitely had a good taste too them and made a nice crackling sound when smoked. The smoke also had a distinctly different smell to it which i liked. After a while, they become more like candy and get annoying to smoke. I think while using something like shrooms, lsd, etc they would defnitely be more fun to smoke than normal cigarrettes.

but for hints of clove cigarettes, i dont reccomend smoking cigs at all, UNLESS you are smoking pot. seriously.

I don't smoke cigarettes any more but my fav were the Djarum Bali Hai's, they are very sweet.


My recommendation for any sherm freeks is try dipping a Bali Hai, they are awsome when wet

i was at this party and this dude was smokin' a cig and it looked like a cig (same color filter and all) but the paper aroud the tobacco was brown....it smelled good as shit (no it wasnt weed) but the guy was actin like an ass and wouldnt tell me the brand....anyone know? said erik or something like tht on the filter not too sure

Cloves are definetly awesome, the only cigarretes I will smoke really. Leaves a nice sweet taste on your lips and smells like cinnamon to me. Sounds like it might be Bali Hai's from the brown paper. Other brands include Blacks (the whole cigarrette is totally black), Splashes, etc etc

They sell them here, just go to your local MiniMart and ask for some
Bali Hai's. By the way, they also have nicotine in them.

They could have been any number of brands of mini-cigars. If you go to a tobacco shop you can check em all out. My personal favorite are Panters. Wonderful aroma, smooth smoke, $23.00 a pack. I dont smoke em very often lol.

for me to locate cloves ou where i am i usually have to go to a tobacco shop. they have them... i havent ever seen cloves in a mini mart or drug store. i have however found them in some grocery stores.. they are a couple $'s more than a pack of smokes but i love em.

yea cloves are definitely sold in the states, around here theyre sold
in every 7-11 and liquor store pretty much. i usually get djarums,
never had bali hais, but i generally just smoke em when friends have
em. i got some friends who go nuts over the cloves, its all they ever
buy. i've also seen a lot of black mini cigar type things. i like those
as well, but if it smelled like cinnamon it was cloves.

It could have been Sobranie black russians, they're black wityh a gold band. they also make multi coloured and flouro ciggs.

Probably not. They stopped importing those to the US years ago. I would love to get some otherwise. Only way to get them in US is via internet and a lot of smokes are stale and old stock.
