This topic has yet to be fully understood. Marijuana is not physically addictive, but many of SWIM's friends feel they need it. One friend has been smoking so long, he barely feels it anymore, but feels he needs to keep doing it. I think that part is psychological. More habit-forming than addicting.

Cannabis "dependance" is a walk in the park compared to a true drug addiction IMO. Most people who claim they are "addicted" to cannabis have no idea what a proper addiction is all about from what SWIM's seen. It's just another reason to bitch about some kind of "problem", same as just about every other issue in life. People will complain about the caffeine content in their morning cup of tea, it still doesn't necessarily mean that the cup of tea is problematic to the average person. Grow some damn balls people!!

Does this study really deserve its own thread? Its nothing especially new, and if we let a thread be created for this study we need to let one be created for every one if people want, which would lead to tons of new threads.

I think this should be either deleted or merged with an existing thread.

But seriously, people can get addicted to anything: tv, weed, vidogames, sweet and salty snacks...or maybe all of these things at the same time.
