Salvia divinorum 1st time advice needed

SWIM is new to the forums here. Swim has been on a very successful 10 year long spiritual journey. He has already learned to supress ego, has experience with substance-unassisted astral projection, the power of manifestation through concentrated thought, and so on. Swim understands that this reality we live in is more of an illusion than the realities above, but we choose to come here to learn and experience. Without understanding all the negative emotions of 3D and humanity, we would not be able to understand and appreciate the unfathomable love and positivity that we are ultimately progressing towards.

Swim has never done Salvia before. He has been doing a lot of reading on it. He believes not that he has found Salvia, but that Salvia has found him. Swim has a huge respect for Salvia already.

Swim will be getting some Salvia from an online supplier in a day or two. Swim smokes only marijuana and only very occassionally, so he does not own a pipe or bong. This is the problem.

Swim knows how to make a homemade pipe, but he plans on using a butane lighter to light the salvia, which would cause foil (toxic) or any other makeshift-pipe component to burn. Swim has absolutely no idea how to make a homemade bong, but it sounds pretty complicated and swim would need a detailed tutorial. If someone could direct Swim to one of these, he would appreciate it.

Swim would like to know if there are any effective types of homemade pipes for smoking Salvia that he hasn't thought of yet. Swim does not want to use a fruit (does that even work well for Salvia?). Swim understands that a bong is best for Salvia, but he doesn't have one right now. Whatever he does, he wants to ingest as much of the vaporized smoke as possible, not let most of it wastefully escape.

Here is what swim was wondering. Swim can roll blunts nicely. Swim is getting standardized extract, so he knows this is not ideal, but he wonders if he could roll Salvia into a blunt and only take a couple hits at a time before putting it back out. Would this be reasonably effective? Swim will buy a pipe or mini-bong soon, but he will not have one for at least days after receiving the Salvia. Swim is not physically prepared for Salvia but Salvia is ready for him.

Swim would like to know which type of pipe design is best for smoking Salvia. There is only one tobacco store near Swim, very old-fasioned. Swim finds it unlikely for there to be the type of pipe he would like there and, frankly, Swim would not feel comfortable going into this store because he is completely unlike a normal customer for them. Swim would like to buy a pipe or mini-bong online, but he can't seem to find a reliable supplier. Swim would LOVE an email or PM recommending an online supplier that sells good pipes or mini-bongs and ships to the US (and has them in stock).

Swim is very grateful for SWIY's advice, and will be sure to report his experience in a few days.

SWIM has smoked salvia several times on an apple pipe. It's quite effective as long as it's made well. Instructions on how to make one are in the following thread:

make a bong out of a bottle, a pen, foil.... salvia needs a hot temp, hotter than thc... so a blunt wouldnt work well... make a makeshift bong take a hit hold it for 30, take more depending how strong it is.

A lightbulb vap may work well for swiy. You can find information on how to make one on this forum, just use the search engine.

A salvia joint won't get you the full effects, but may be a good way to gently introduce swiy to the substance. This would only be worth it if swiy had a large amount of salvia though as if he only had a limited supply he would be better off saving it for more powerful experiences.

Swim thinks a homemade frosty bong would be great for this purpose. Take a large bottle of water or coke and cut off the bottom half or so. You need something to use as a bowl. Thats the hardest part, but you can get creative. Once you have that, burn a hole in the plastic and wedge the bowl in so it fits nicely (a good way to get a bowl is to just buy a bong bowl by itself and use that), then burn a small carb on the side. Put duct tape around the edges of the cut part (as that is where your face will go and you don't want to scratch it up) and throw some ice into the plastic. Now you are set to go, just pack in the salvia, and hit as you normally would a bong.

Using a strong butane lighter helps as salvia has a higher burning temperature than say cannabis.

swim agrees wit bajeda on the homemade bong but a vaporizor (lightbulb) wouldnt get nearly hot enough, so thats a no no, same with anything that doesnt require direct flame to salvia contact... a torch lighter makes it even hot and better, due to salvia needing hot temp like bajeda said.

In reference to the blunt, Swim was intending on holding the butane lighter at the end for the duration of the hit. This is why Swim would've used a blunt and not a joint. Swim knows Salvia needs to be hotter than THC.

Swim will consider making a bong with a bottle. Do any Swiy's know of any grocery store items that can be made easily into an effective bowl, that won't burn? Swim only wants to use foil as a last resort, especially considering the butane lighter.

The socket thing that goes on the end of a socket wrench works. you just need to find a little fine grill you can wedge in there to hold the salvia in it. Thats the hard part, as salvia extract is very fine and can fall through easily.

Otherwise foil would work next best as far as I know.

You can't edit posts unless you are a Silver Member or higher, or you get enough bad reputation that you become a Mercury Member (you don't want to get there).

PM a mod if you keep getting bad rep for a post you made, otherwise you can just leave it unless its really important to change.
