TEK - Cocaine cut with baking soda: Ways to remove the cut

Swim obtained 3.5 grams of cocaine, and was later told that half of it was cut with baking soda, and he was very disappointed. Swim really doesnt want to snort baking soda in any quantity, and he was wondering if there was any way to seperate the two. He says theres roughly 1.5 grams cocaine and 1.5 grams baking soda left, but is even more confused than before after reading all the posts about purifying. Is there any simple way of doing this, or a way that isnt potentially destructive to the drug or swim? Swim is only worried about removing the massive quantity of baking soda so that he may enjoy whats left of his very expensive lesson.

nope, nothing for sure anyways, u can try the acetone wash but u'd prolly end up losing most of the coke too. SWIM got fucked just like this the first time he tried to buy yayo and he just took one for the team and railed it. hey, theres still coke in there somewhere.

Haha, nice. Swim says it burns when he tries it, and the idea of snorting 1.5 grams of baking soda just....bugs him. Swim has only had one other batch to base his opinions from, but he says that this batch doesnt make him feel as great as the last, he doesnt get that godly feeling for a brief moment, the numbing is noticeable, but the overall feel he says is irritation. It makes him have a short temper and just feel annoyed with a slight buzz. Which would make sense considering the circumstances.

Update, swim bought straight acetone and filled a cup, and put a teaspoon of baking soda in it. Swim then stirred it up for a couple minutes and from what he could tell, none of it was dissolved, there was enough in the cup still for him to just say forget about putting his cocaine/baking soda mix in it. Ugh.

Also, swim is not a chemist, but he just did the same thing as posted above but with tap water and the baking soda appeared to be completely dissolved in a matter of 10-15 seconds. Is this a possibility to try and clean his cocaine/baking soda mixture or will the cocaine dissolve in water?

the caine will dissolve in water. now heres one more experiment for you. This one will cost you some coke though. In using acetone for its legitimate uses, as a painter, some times its mixed with water, to reduce its potency, but the mixture is still very flammable. So maybe its worth trying to mix the acetone with water and then see if s small portion of your baking coke will either all dissolve or which part dissolves and which part remains.

A mixture of cocaine HCl and baking soda (sodium bicarbonte) can be separated dissolving it in (rubbing) alcohol or methanol. Shake well; Cocaine HCL will dissolve, sodium bicarbonate hardly or not. Separate the insoluble fraction from the alcohol solution. Bring the alcohol into another suitable container and evaporate all of it, cocaine HCl will be left.

any special kind of rubbing alcohol? i'm not familiar with ethanol.

Rubbing alcohol is IPA aka isopropylalcohol. You want the kind without water 98% or better, not the 70%.

FiaB is right, make sure the water percentage is as low as possible (labgrade alcohol preferably). Evaporating water takes more time. Furthermore, because of the water present, some of the baking soda will dissolve as well and incomplete separation will be the result. Cocaine HCl will dissolve in water as well but is completely recovered upon evaporation of the water/alcohol mixture.

Update, the method for using isopropyl alcohol to seperate baking soda from cocaine has indeed been a success. Assuming swim didnt lose any cocaine during the purification process, he was quite disturbed to find that only just over a gram had actually been cocaine out of the 3 he started with. For the record, 99% isopropyl alcohol was used.

Let the residue which is thought to be baking powder sit in a generous amount of IPA for some days, shake from time to time, filter, evaporate the IPA and some more cocaine may show up.

If SWIY had half and half of coke and baking soda I assume he could have cooked it up to crack as well if he wanted to do that. Maybe that's the reason SWIM had little success in his crack cooking attempt, perhaps it was already cut with much baking soda and thus adding even more got way too much.

Hm is there a good way to test if your coke is cut much or not? And what is most common things to cut it with except for baking soda?

This is SWIM's question: how exactly does one separate baking soda from cocaine? SWIM purchased a large bag of "cocaine" which turned out to be almost completely baking soda. SWIM tested it upon his lip and felt some type of numbing properties but when SWIM took it up his nose, there was nothing in common with actual cocaine.

SWIM performed LeJunk's acetone wash. It still had the no-effect when snorting (except for the uneasiness on top of mouth, watery, cool drip, and extremely runny nose). So SWIM decided to purchase 99% rubbing alcohol, as mentioned on these forums, and he is waiting to receive it in the mail now. What exactly does SWIM do when he receives it?

From SWIM's understanding, he must pour the cocaine into a pure plate of 99% rubbing alcohol. Drain the liquid. Put that liquid in a Pyrex plate and put in oven to make crystallized cocaine. But for how long must SWIM put in the oven, and how hot must it be (in Fahrenheit degrees, as SWIM is US-based currently)? SWIM understands there is hardly (if any) cocaine in said bag of baking soda but would rather try his best to get it out than flush it all down the toilet.

SWIM hears using anhydrous acetone works well.
search the forum on how to remove water from acetone, it's pretty simple using epsom salts + stove + acetone.

SWIM started with half an ounce of cocaine (roughly 14 grams). SWIM knew from the very beginning that it was all/mostly baking soda, as said previously. SWIM bought the rubbing alcohol and just concluded experiment. From 14 grams, SWIM washed with anhydrous acetone and had 10 grams (baking soda is insoluble in acetone).

SWIM then took his 10 grams and put it in rubbing alcohol. He mixed it well and shook it in a glass, drained out the water on a platter, and moved that liquid into a coffee filter. The rubbing alcohol evaporated within 10 minutes and SWIM was left with 1 or 2 grams of powder. SWIM waited 15 minutes (though it was already dry) and snorted final product. Still not cocaine.

SWIM left glass with baking soda covered in rubbing alcohol. He will filter it and let it evaporate again, though not expecting anything really.

As mentioned above, extracting you powder and making it more pure does wonders, get rid of the crap and keep left with the goodies.
