Shroom hunting So who's getting ready to hunt?

While SWIM thinks christmas comes much earlier every year he wishes mushroom season would too.

Now SWIM know's it's still very early but SWIM found a low amount of mushrooms as early as August two years ago but didn't get a chance to do any searching last year (SWIM was in holland during last mushroom season only hunting he did was to the head shops). Personally SWIM is thinking he will head out to the fields in about two or three weeks to begin the search. Has anyone been walking out in fields lately and just checking them out while there.

SWIM is looking forward to mushroom season though it might be to early at the moment to get hopes up. I have a feeling this years batch will be quite good. Thats just SWIM's assumption from the weather and the feeling in his bones etc.

Some years if there is a lot of rain they can be found in August but the weather has been too dry this year. SWIM thinks they will be out in another month or so. It will interesting to see how the change in their legal status will effect pickers.

It's pelting rain as I type this. I think the caps will be sprouting up soon. SWIM will start hunting within the next month probably. Is it true that the crack of dawn is the best time of day to pick? That might involve a camping trip in the pissing rain. It would be worth it though.

Swim is contemplating camping and it should be some fun, a bunch of pyschedelic people in a tent. What could go wrong? Also this will be Swims first trip so where does one find these shrooms? Swim knowst hat Fly Agaric are to be found near birch trees.

In SWIM's area, there has been substantial rain for the past couple of days, and today has been bright and warm. SWIM will take his dog for a walk over the next couple of days. Gotta love this time of the year!

It was hammering it down last nite in the valleys but seems to be brightening up now. This is gonna be SWIMs first year picking so hes like a kid before christmas at the moment

i agree with the other comment the shrooms will not be out till mid sep its been far to dry here in scotland anyway
