Plants with Psychoactive qualities
SWIF wanted to start a small garden and plans to use mostly psychoactives plants. SWIF knows he could probably get away with using alot of banned psychoactives like Psiocybin mushrooms etc but he wondered which plants which have psychoactive properties are legal in the uk to grow?
Things like Blue lotus and other things? SWIF doesnt nessesarily plan on ingesting them just likes the idea of a psychoactive garden

swim was thinking of doing the same thing with kratom and poppies. he wouldnt actually use the poppies of course, he just tells me that he thinks they look nice. he also believes both are legal in the uk to grow, but he may be wrong on that.

Also, in Copenhagen's Botanic garden they had a leaflet with all the Poisonous plants marked out. (Unfortunately Mandrake was gone..) Might have to be carefull with children visiting in a psychoactive garden!! |

A visit to your local nursery (find a big one) will get you a lot of interesting plants. And since one can get it there, one can add it to the garden, without knowledge of the effects of these plants. One could be totally ignorant.
There are almost no plants banned under the Misuse of drugs Act. Poppy plants are not banned either. It's only the sap and a several substances in them. Poppy plants are being sold as dry flowers, which essentially is a preparation of controlled substances. So, that would be an excellent defense if one likes hanging a few dry flowers in ones house. There is a thread here: Duchess’s garden of cannabis, cocaine and on a UK psychotropic garden run by some Lady. You can visit it to check out the plants. Last edited by Alfa; 21-08-2006 at 15:07. |

Don't forget belladonna and morning glories! Amanitas would be pretty. Good luck and happy gardening. Maybe some ephedra (ma huang?). Check out the plants list at erowid.org and take your pick of the ones that are legal where ever SWIY is located.

Does anyone know if the Coca plant is legal to grow in the U.K? Or even, if the seeds are legal to acquire?

The UN laws do not control seeds nor plants, while the leaves are illegal. I suspect UK law will not allow plants, but will allow seeds. Research this well, before action would be taken.
