multi city heroin bust
According to MSNBC Tuesday headlines, a huge bust went down involving the Sanchez brothers.
130 drug trafficking arrests were made in 15 US citys, resulting in the seizure of 47 pounds of black tar mexican heroin and 500,000.00 in cash The poppies were grown and processed in Nayarit, Mexico and then smuggled to Nashville, Tenn. From there, it was distributed around the US, mostly east of the Mississippi River. The average take was 2 million dollars a month on 17 pounds. The interesting thing was that while black tar heroin averages 30-40 percent purity, these guys had merchandise that went as high as 85%! One Sanchez brother was arrested in Nashville, but the other is still at large in Mexico, along with the people who supplied them.
