Is it usable if the injection looks a bit yellowy?
SWIM just got some K injection (2mL/100mg). It is maded in Nov. 2004 and should be expired in Oct. 2007. But the solution in the bottle looks a bit yellowy. Is it still okay to IM? Thanks.

some injections are a bit yellowy, even if they are ok.
but regarding ketamine, SWIM never seen any yellow injection of ketamine. SWIY may need to read about it on bottle's info paper. (if there is any) I think i can help SWIY if you tell me which brand is it. anyway, be very careful, if SWIY is going to try it, tell him to try a very little dosage at first. |

Thanks. SWIM's K injection is made in Shanghai (China), and the brand is not available for the seller gave SWIM ampoules only.
P. S. the color of solution is not very deep; in fact, SWIM cannot see the yellowy color without placing the ampoule in front of a white paper. (Sorry for I cannot put photos on the forum) |

as SWIM has tried an expired ketamine and it was still okay (althought SWIM has tested it before injecting) 30mg IM is good for testing it. (and minimizes the risk if there is anything wrong with the bottle) if SWIY is still unsure about injecting it, you can cook it and snort the powder, this way its pretty safe |

sound usable as long as you know for SURE the solution hasn't been tampered with

It remains as a yellowy liquid. Maybe it is not true ketamine? BTW, what excipient does the ketamine injection usually use? |

no idea, but maybe the injection uses something to prevent converting it to powder, but I have not heard anything like that before
![]() and if SWIY is not sure about the contents of bottle (ketamine or not) I strongly recommend to throw it away. |
