Research to stop recreational use of San Pedro cactus

They say in studies that san pedro has the lower amounts of mescaline. But I was thinking today that maybe this is government research since they are the only ones that can really legally research it. I beileve that the san pedro is strong enough to give a good trip and the peruvian torch is weaker but the research is to show people to use the weaker catci and not feel any effects and stop further use.
