Bong, Vaporizer?

Hey everybody. SWIM isn't a very experienced pot user, but has a couple questions. It would be easy and fun to just smoke in SWIM's bedroom, and his cousin suggested getting a bong. SWIM hasn't ever used a bong, so he's not sure about this. Would using a bong get rid of the smoke/smell of smoking pot in his room? Or is a vaporizer the only way to smoke his my room without getting caught?

A vaporizer would elminate the problems of smoke and odor, though it is more likely to be the more expensive option. It is also healthier, which swiy must take into account, but also swim finds the high to be different and doesn't care for it as much.

Swim could produce a sploof and use it to smoke with a bong. This could work as a bong produces little to no second hand smoke so all the smoke would be inhaled and then exhaled through the sploof to leave a nice fresh minty scent in the room.


In case you don't know, a sploof is basically a tube with bounce sheets (dyer sheets) tied at the end that you exhale through to get rid of the smell of the smoke.

If swiy has a window and a fan he could use the sploof to get rid of any odors.

If swiy doesn't have a window/fan combo that he could use easily (or if he is really paranoid) then the vap is probably the way to go as it isn't so much of a hassle, though swiy is likely to pay more than if swiy just got a bong.

I would not go with a bong in your room if you live with parents.
Go with a pinchie/oney something like a small pinchie would work good. And make a blow tube

How to make a blow tube

Get any bottle a small drink bottle will do. Cut off the bottom half of the bottle, but not the drinking part.
Buy dryer sheets( bounce diffrent smells work fine)
And roll about 3 or 4 into a ball sort of shape
Stuff them into the bottle. Them take a rubber band and or tape and cover the bottom half of the bottle with a dryer sheet covering the hole completley.

Then when u exhale exhale through the drinking part of the bottle and it should kill most smell.

Another way of the using the bong and vaporizing would be to hold the heat source slightly away from the bowl as its lit and begin to inhale normally as if u were heating it. The added heat will begin to vaporize the weed, while not as effective as heating it properly it will still work. or get a glass pipe and heat the glass underneath where the weed is placed. hope that helps. Incense and room odor eaters are a must or do what boyo used to exhale the smoke into a long cardboard tube filled with carbon filter.

Go for the vapurizer, its better for you and produces no smoke. SWIM prefers the high from a vapourizer also, its more intense or so he say

Some members have said the opposite of that though Aceofhearts, that the vaporisors effects are slightly different but not as good as conventional smoking. However this is likely down to user preference.
