Cleaning meth pipe

i was tweaking in the dark with my friend and we burt our pookie (meth pipe) and now we cant get all the burn marks off its really hard to see the shit wen half of the pookie is black. i tried cleaning it with soap and water then scrubbing with a cue tip but there is still some stuff left. im used to using a bulb which is easier to clean so does anyone know how to clean it.

do you know if rubbing alcohol and salt will work

Alcohol is still polar, which will not do a good job of dissolving any nonpolar component such as a carbonized mass. The salt will work as an abrasive, which will help "scratch" it off. When we clean glassware in the lab which has burned residue (usually from falling asleep while distilling something <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley1.gif">) we usually start with a dilute acid wash and then follow with multiple washes with acetone and/or another cheep solvent like toluene.

ummm anything that i can find at home to clean with i dont have a lab, forget it i dont care any more ill just buy a new one (there $2)

Clean it with some acetone and ear buds, let it dry get a jet lighter and heat up the glass were the black shit is it should start to clean it. the black shit inside the pipe will prob glow red just move the flame around but its good for it to glow red that how u get rid of it.

but if u have a pipe with thin glass it wil warp it if u heat it to much and will make roling the gear a little harder

Acetone would be in nail polish remover if you have any of that in the house.

You guys may think I'm crazy but the BEST way to clean them is with WHINK, it's a rust stain remover found in the cleaning supplies at your local discount store or grocery store. Put a little wink in it, heat it with your torch, once it boils you'll see the black just peel away, no scrubbing at all. Dump out the wink, rinse real well, dry it and you're ready to go. Try it, you'll be amazed at how well it works.

this might sound kind of stupid but what works really good is cigarette ashes. just take the ashes and put it on a paper towel and scrub it.

swiy might wanna try 1 tablesppon of Naoh aka caustic soda aka draincleaner in a cup of water, stir it up good to dissolve the cystals. dunk ya pipe in that and let it sit for 30 mins - 1 hour then simply rinse under cold water, any residue remaining will simply wipe off with a cotton bud or similar... p.s. make sure you you rinse pipe thoroughly after this - i.e. no slimey feeling on glass.

just use a torch or torch lighter and aply the flame to the burnt stuff, and it will just flake off

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works well.

Take the pipe and put a screwdriver in the stem then hold over hot stove either in the flame with gas or right next to the coil for electric. Slowly spin, as soon as it gets hot enough the black residue will burn away.

I promise this is THE BEST and only way to get a clean piece.The kind of clean you only get from a brand new or freshly made piece.

Microwave safe coffee cup fill it a third of the way with bleach ,put piece (pipe) into cup microwave for 3 min 30sec to 5 min .Pull out flush with tap water ,clean out with paper towel and wa la and brand new pipe .


Just try it, Swim will promise you satisfaction.

How to clean a pipe

-Rinse with water to get all solids out
-twist up a paper towel or a napkin
-insert into the pipe all the way to the bowl and make sure you get all liquid out. any liq left in there will cause the pipe to crack
-throw away the paper towel
-go to your kitchen and turn on your stove. with the tip of the flame, burn off all the stains.
-wait till pipe cools, pack it, and have a good day!!

elpapod you win. the only real way to clean the pookie is with bleach in the microwave yew I thought I was going to die reading all the lame way to scratch the black off.

bleach.. I have hair bleach powder.. the bleach that lightens your hair. So can I use a those take-away cardboard coffee cups, and microwave the glass pipe in there?

and to burn the black shit, u light under the glasss pipe, or upside down-inside the bubble and directly at the black stuff?

clorox, liquid laundry bleach. not hair care products, fill a ceramic coffee cup, place glass pipe in ,bubble side down and heat in microwave oven.

Yeah Its the only true to get it clean,torch works but like I said it pits the glass .
