Two handguns were within reach of the drugs when SWAT team members with a no-knock warrant broke into the residence at 930 W. Gold Place (1148 South), said sheriff's Sgt. Kevin Matthews.
Later, after the 27-year-old occupant had been arrested and police were packing up to leave, the second suspect, a 23-year-old man who had been seen frequenting the home, walked through the door, then turned and ran.
"He had to be chased down and subdued," Matthews said.
The two men had been selling Ecstasy to Salt Lake County high school students, and a former student took officers to the suspect's home, Matthews said.
Ecstasy is a designer drug that produces euphoria, reduces inhibitions and has a stimulant effect that allows users to dance for long periods. Matthews said the drug "enhances all the senses," prompting an affinity for music, candles, fluorescent jewelry and candy.
The drugs seized Friday were to be sold at a weekend rave party planned for an as-yet-unknown location in Salt Lake County. Matthews said some of the Ecstasy pills had been laced with the hallucinogen LSD to enhance the effect. He estimated the street value of the Ecstasy at $4,000. Officers also seized $2,000 in cash from the home.

I don't know about prices of ecstasy tablets in the US, but I'll bet it's nowhere near the value this moron Matthews claims the are worth. I calculate this to be almost $17 per pill - someone's getting ripped off at those prices.
The article fails to provide reasoning behind their suspicion the drugs would be taken to the "rave" and fail to say anything suggesting that ecstasy or acid are bad and they should have been arrested.
