ephedrine-smoked?

im not sure if this is a dumb question but im really curious if ephedrine can be smoked? i have some ephedrine hcl in tablet form lying around, 25 mg each but it also has 200 mg of the decongistant Guaifenesin added. can this be grinded into a powder and smoke? also if this is possible, how are the effects different from oral consumption and in your opinion is it a better form of ingestion?

based on the taste of most ephedrine tablets, the smoke would be so nasty and harsh that it wouldnt be worth it. as far as swim can tell it could possibly be smoked if it were converted into a freebase from the usual HCL, but the effects wouldnt likely be too different from oral...maybe just a bit shorter-acting and the onset would be quicker. all in all swim doesnt think it'd be a great time, many people don't necessarily enjoy the effects of ephedrine to begin with.

anytime. swim would reccomend that swiy starts off with 25-50 mg of the ephedrine, swiy doesnt want to overdo it because guafenasin can be harsh on the stomach. having some food in you at the time of ingestion could probably help alot.

I don't know about the ephedrine w/ guafenasin pills, but I have heard of ephedrine pills (from the gas station) being grinded and mixed with a little baking soda to make a free-base paste, which can then be smoked.

thundercles wouldn't let ephedrine freebase sit around too long tho, it is incredibly unstable as a freebase when exposed to air. Thundercles would just recommend that a person would follow guides all over the net on how to extract ephedrine hcl crystals out of the pills and smoke those crystals with a pizzo, like methamphetamine. l-Ephedrine and d-Pseduoephedrine are nothing the CNS stimulants that d-Methamphetamine is however, a person going through all the work of extracting ephedrine from pills and just smoking that would be very dissapointed.

SWIM doesn't really know about ephedrine pills, however he has been known to experiment with vaporizing ephedra 12% PE extract in a glass vaporizer with successful if short lived results.

Well of course smoking meth is better, however blaze asked about smoking ephedrine. Back in the day when SWIM could get mini-thins, just grinding and adding baking soda would make it smokeable, I don't think this is possible any longer with the pills currently on the market.
