A little chemistry here...

I have been reading the Doors of Perception and Heavan and Hell and Mr. Huxley makes the statement that if you combine Nicotinic acid with Lysergic acid you do not have hallucinations. Can anyone please tell me is there any truth in this and if there is why is it so?
