Combinations - Benzodiazepines + GHB = extreme good or extreme bad?

SWIM has some benzos lying in front of him (Xanax and Valium) and some high quality powdered sodium gamma-hydroxybutyrat.

My understanding of how benzos work is that the put themselfes to the GABA-receptor and potentiate the input if some GABA docked on it.
Now GHB is metabolised to GABA (?) or connects directly to the receptor.

Now, I think, there are two possible effects. First one giving you the worst f**k ever (downer+downer, depression of breath etc.) or it's giving you an extreme high.

Alcohol stimulates the GABA-Receptor as well, so it can't be THAT bad.

SWIM just wants to go the sure way and ask if somebody did this combo allready (and still lifes ;-))

swim hasnt done this combo, but figures its probably a bad idea. mixing any two drugs that bind the gaba receptor can usually lead to blackouts, irrational behavior, and in a worst case scenario, death. this goes for mixing ghb, alcohol, benzos, and barbiturates. so swim would really advise against this! just use the different drugs on different days and appreciate the unique effects of each, dont put swiyself in needless danger!

That's pretty much what I thought.

GHB alone can get you pretty messed up...

But I might have been the ultimate combo

SWIM has mixed these many times as was prescribed Clonazepam/Klonapin 2mg daily. SWIM did not take GHB and Benzo together but Benzos were always in system when taking GHB and SWIM found that safe dosing became very difficult. Previously it was very rare for SWIM to pass out while taking GHB but during the Benzo period SWIM passed out regularly, and it was very quick too, not drowsy feeling to fight, just awake one minute and out the next. this hapened to SWIM while she was driving one time and she woke up when her car drove up a steep bank (bush clad) and only just mangaed to prevent the car from flipping, though did plenty of other damage to the car, but not to SWIM or anyone else so was VERY lucky, and SWIM found she was on the other side of the city to where she thought she was and had no memory of driving there. Also SWIM has thrown up while being passed out and luckily had someone with her to stop her choking, cause it did not wake her up. Like I said, before Benzos were intorduced to the equation SWIM did not pass out, crash cars or throw up. I strongly advise against this combo, but if you must do not do it alone, be extremely careful dosing - under dosing is always better then over cause you can always top up, do not drive, and try and put as many hours between taking benzo and taking GHB.

How about pure GABA powder, swim can get it legaly and easy. Maybe just small amounts. swim will try.

It doesn't mater if it's pure powder powder or not - the effects are the same. SWIM has done this combo in very conservative doses and sleep was only effect acheived. ISO The benzos will increase the hypnoctic properties of GHB. Not worth the risks if you SWIM.

SWIM enjoys an alcohol, xanax and ghb combo.
SWIM once added midazolam to that mix they didn't wake for about 12hours.

Swim thought the GABA powder might be good cause its not as strong as gbl or gbh, its a legal body building supplement, and it might just give the xanax a bit of fuel to do its job?
