Drug info - Can Muscimol or Psilocin be Extracted from Urine?

swim was thinking about this today remembering hearing that the berserker tribes of russia use to ingest amanitas and then sell their piss as it contained the active principle still. swim is unsure if this applys to psilocybes but swim wonders could an extract be performed on urine to yield pure or semi pure muscimol/ibotenic acid or psilocin or could the metabolites of psilocin in urine be extracted and easily converted back to psilocin?

urines pretty sterile im sure you could extract the majority of the displeasing matter from the mess.

alright well it doest apply to psilocin; what does psilocin break down into before it is excreted? is it completely ripped apart or does anything resembling the DMT molecule leave swiys body?

No, i dont suppose its not.. amantis mushrom used to be recycled over and over again by various tribes. I do say 'tribes' thou..

not sure about dmt, or psilo. however there was another psychoactive that is recycled in that way, i cant remember it off hand will have a look. swia remembers it in boyos lectures. about another herb beening used to that effect..

SWIF thinks your talking about DMT, In tribes it was common practice for the shamen to first drink the DMT prepared substance with MAOI which would be incredebly intense and then the other tribe members would then drink his urine and recieve a more toned down version.

Works particularly well when a large amount of DMT is consumed first as alot of it cant' be absorbed. SWIF hasnt tried it mind you.

Psilocybin is converted to psilocin. Small amounts of psilocin are excreted in urine. Somewhere in the neighbourhood of 500µg psilocin / L. So for one dose, one would need to extract 20 - 40 liters of urine and then separate the psilocin from the bunk. Have fun. I'll pass.

I can find no data for muscimol amounts in urine.

but what does the psilocin break down into that is excreted from the body, would it be anything interesting or possibly a somewhat easy intermediate... swim is interested in what chemicals the body can produce that are useful in his chemical endeavors.
