It would depend on what kind of a tolerance you have. For example, for somebody with no tolerance taking 30mg methadone on its own wouldn't be safe. SWIM thinks he would stay away from this one. Both drugs are pleasureable enough on their own, why risk combining them?
no,you misunderstand,SWIM has tolerance to meth;my q. regards k on top of
swiy could still run the risk of repiratory depression, and kratom actually has several psychoactive compounds within it which could interact. this seems too dangerous to swim, and although there are reports on erowid of successfully using kratom and hydrocodone together, methadone would be a whole different story due to its potency and long duration of action.
swim can only say that if swiy were to attempt this, that he/she should start with a lower than normal methadone dosage and kratom dose than usual.
I don't recommend this because kratom bonds to the delta opiate receptor. This would make much more of the methadone bond to the mu receptor. Well this may sound like a good thing, what was once a normal enjoyable dose quickly becomes way too much. The stimulant portion could also react poorly with the methadone as well. All in all i don't recommend anyone mix any opiate with kratom because of this. This would explain why opiates act so quickly when you use kratom, the spillover to the mu receptor would not occur making the opiate kick in much faster and stronger. This could slow down your heart rate and respiratory functions very quickly. This would be bad.

P.S To cite resources, most of my information comes from Murple: http://www.murple.net/yachay/index.php/Kratom, and a few other resources that I can't remember, all the information seems to be consistent, so I am going to take it as reliable, and not some guesses by some 16 year old in his basement.
