Alternative source of thujone (for absinthe)
A friend of mine recently made the wonderful discovery that clarysage - salvia sclarea - contains thujone, the same psychoactive compound that's in wormwood and can be used to make absinthe. Unlike wormowood, it's legal everywhere, and the essential oil is sold in places like The Body Shop. Interesting, eh?

The trick would be to find one that tastes well when combined with the other absinthe herbs, maybe one could even make a different tasting absinth(I do not want argue wether it would be "real" absinthe, the magic is in the brew, not the name). Absinthe anlogues, anyone?
