Drugs-Forum expands Recovery & Addiction functionality

The Recovery & Addiction section of drugs-forum has been gaining more and more popularity. Many members have used DF as an important tool in their recovery process. The support network that the community offers to people dealing with addiction has been found to be very beneficial. The Recovery & Addiction section is open to our 160.000 members and 2.5 million monthly readers.

The recovery and addiction section has been expanded with:

• a dedicated recovery journal section.
• recovery articles
• support chat
• A tool to assess your addiction
• direct link to our index of 11.000 treatment centers

We call on our readers and members to further enhance our recovery articles section by writing new articles. Your writings will be to the benefit of our 2.5 million monthly readers, so its a major good deed to submit an article that helps people dealing with addiction.

Our support chat is open around the clock and its possible to invite other members.
As chat is resource intensive and costly, support chat is currently limited to donating members. This will change when our financial situation allows it. Drugs-Forum is entirely dependent upon donations and is in dire need of sponsors. Donations start at 3.50 and can be made here.

We would like to invite people in recovery to open a Recovery Journal here to enjoy community support, feedback, peer to peer advice and tracking process.

I think this is a great idea for the future of this board. While drug use begins with a sense of experimentation, it progresses to addiction for far too many people. Having this outlet on the board makes sense. Drugs-Forum.com is a one stop shop for the drug experience. You can come to this board and learn how to reduce harm from use, get accurate information on drugs, and kick. In the process you will meet new people who may become lifelong friends. It is a huge accomplishment to man a ship of this magnitude.

I totally concur Alfa, I think the chat is underused at the moment and could be utilised for more one on one recovery chats and maybe recovery chat meetings sometime in the future. As I said in the past I'd be quite happy to help out with any of these future projects.
