Advice required urgently

I revieved a letter a few days back inviting me to attend a hair test before I start my new job, it was actually dated for today and I just got back from my hols so I genuinely did miss the appointment. I got someone to ring up on my behalf stating that I was away till this weekend on hols so to buy me time to do some research. The last word was that they will get back to me and I take it this will be with a new date (prob early next week 17th july).

I was doing a bit of messing on holidays and I need some serious advice on how to proceed, their is a lot of conflicting info on this board about the hair tests so and help on this would be greatly appreciated.
