HELP! DRug test on some pills!!

Hey all...

So swim took about 8 or 10 (dont remember) 10/325 mg vicoden/hydrocodone around the 29th/30th of June. Then on July 5th swim took 6 or the same pills.

The possibility of a drug test is on the 10th of July.

Will swim be okay?

Hydrocodone supposedly leaves your system within 3-4 days though I couldnt find confirmation for that. So you would most likely be fine, though I don't think it especially matters much as standard tests don't detect hydrocodone as it doesn't break down into morphine in the body (which is often tested for). It would take a special test to detect hydrocodone, so it depends on the test swiy would be administered.

Its rather disturbing though, as swim has noticed articles in the paper that suggest that certain diagnostics companies in San Diego are expanding their tests to include morphine and possibly more prescription drugs. This means alot of people working for businesses who use prescription drugs illegally may be at risk. If your company drug tests be wary as some places are upgrading technology!

To SWIMs knowledge, morphine should already be detected in a six panel test, same for codeine. They fall under the 'heroin/opiates' category, and since all three are pretty structurally similar (and codeine is at least partially metabolized to morphine in the body), they'd show up in most tests.

Synthetic opioids like hydrocodone do indeed leave the body in about 3 days, and many tests dont test for them right now, but if what swiBajeda typed is correct, it might pay to use caution a couple months down the line...or just make sure that swiy has a legit prescription.

In case anyone is wondering, the information about the expanded drug tests came from the San Diego Union Tribune in the Business section. Its not online though.
