Shortest acting tryptamines

I was wondering what the consensus is on which of the tryptamines has the shortest acting duration. Specifically I mean the shortest duration of the orally active ones . I am not interested in the atom bomb freebase tryptamines such as 5meo-dmt (which only last minutes), but rather the longer acting orally active varieties (4ho-mipt, 5meo-dipt etc) which can be expected to provide a trip between 3-8 hours.

It seems from SWIMS experience that 4ho-dipt seems to be a candidate for shortest acting. Shulgin estimates its activity to last 2 - 3 hrs, I tend to say 3-4 hours. Opinions?

Yes, iprocin is the shortest I've tried. The peak is about 2 hours and the whole trip from dropping to the baseline is always 6 hours for me. Miprocin is the second shortest with only an hour or so longer duration.

Shulgin seemed to think that 4-hydroxy-N,N-diallyltryptamine might actually be shorter acting than iprocin, but until someone synths it and eats some it would seem that iprocin is the most likely candidate

DET and MET are also short acting tryptamines. DET lasts somewhere around 3-4 hours and MET is probably similar. With a low dose insufflated MET experiment, most effects were gone after 2 hours. I suspect moderate to high dosages would last around 3-4 hours.

the 4-ho-DET is very fast... in not out... it hits you within the first 10 minutes on a strong dose and climbs very fast... more so than iprocin or iprocetin

Iprocin is by far the shortest acting tryptamine that SWIM has tried. The length goes up some with dose. But it's still pretty brief

5meoDMT seems to have the shortest period of psychoactivity. however its time dialation properties fairly much nullify that.

Both 4-HO-DET and 4-HO-DIPT are probably some of the shortest acting PO tryptamines (i.e. not including DMT, DPT, 5-MeO-DMT, etc.). TiHKAL lists the duration for 4-HO-DET as 4-6 hours and the duration for 4-HO-DIPT as 2-3 hours. Rapid onset, rapid peak, and rapid return to baseline. But it should go without saying that brevity is not everything.

cannot speak for iprocin, but reports usually say miprocin is short acting (although not as short as ipro). but each time swim has done it (4 now) it usuall has after effects all night, very stimulating, sleep not easy. now 5meo-mipt is usually in and out in the 4-6 hour range (depending on the dose). sleep pretty easily attainable. he has done moxy a few more times though (10-12).

he loves mipro but says he wouldn't plan on getting much sleep without benzos (ambien and lunesta not much help). he has graduated from 14mgs to 20. all were pretty stimulating. he wants to go back to 15 he thinks and see how that works.
