New Zealand Possibly Banning Cannabis Culture Magazine
Cannabis Culture Magazine Banned in New Zealand?
by Marc Emery (05 Jul, 2006) Held at Customs pending review of the content Cannabis Culture Magazine sends 350 copies of each issue to New Zealand. It is distributed by Chris Fowlie of the Aotearoa (New Zealand) Hempstore in Auckland, who just informed me that New Zealand Customs has seized all 350 copies of the newest issue #61, and will hold the magazines for up to a month to determine if Cannabis Culture is "advocating criminal activity". It is undetermined if the New Zealand government will seize the entire shipment and destroy the magazines. Typically, Cannabis Culture was shipped to New Zealand wrapped in cellophane with a label on it reading "R18: Restricted to adults 18 years and older". Cannabis Culture conformed to the New Zealand Customs rules. Magazines about marijuana have not been banned in New Zealand previously. CC is already banned in Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. *SWIM could see where the New Zealand customs would think that this issue of Cannabis Culture "advocates criminal activity". The cover has a headline that says "HOW TO SMUGGLE POT". SWIM still doesn't agree with banning it though, as he enjoys the magazine very much and thinks that it's an important part of the Canadian drug culture and Canadian legalization/decriminalization efforts. |

First they came for the magazines, but I said nothing, because I didn't read them. Then they came for hemp shops, but I said nothing because I shopped on the 'net. Then they came for this website, and I cried and I cried and I cried. |

mate, the LE probably has much bigger fish to fry then swim. They could ban bongs/knifes/cones/blunts/magazines, hell 'weed' is banned, dont see any shortage of that though. Dosent really bother swim, where theres a will there ALWAYS is a way
