I recieved this peyote 9 days ago, I didn't give it too much light the first and second day, I started giving sunlight through an onnion paper at the third day, removing the paper if the day is cloudy/mostly cloudy. After the 7th day these oxide red spots were noticed, does anybody know what's happening to the plant? is it sunburned maybe? does a fungus attack look like that?

thank you so much for your help, I include a picture taked the fifth day (before.jpg) and another one taked today (now.jpg)

That doesn't look good. What kind of soil is your peyote in? Soil with added nutrients would not be good.

Peyote is a cactus, go out and buy you a bag of cactus soil.Get it out of that thin pot, a good heavy thick concrete pot or planter would be better, and put it out in the sun. When you water it do not let the water get on the cactus, just water the soil, getting water on the cactus and letting it be exposed to the sun, will cause rotting.Make sure your using the correct fertilizer, there is one specially made for cactus.

Remove cacti from soil. Cut out affected areas and worms and rinse cactus and roots clean. Replant cacti in new planter Spray with pyrethrenes and let sit
for one to two minutes. Rinse the pyrethrenes from the skin of the cacti and into the soil.
