DXM closed eye visuals

Whenever SWIM do DXM SWIM thinks he is getting closed eye visuals but hes not sure.. when SWIM closes his eye he says shapes and stuff but is wondering if these are the closed eye visuals people speak of? When you get a closed eye visuals are you just seeing stuff and your like cool.... or does it kind of take you over and bring you somewhere weird?

It can be both... realise that this kind of things are very abstract... one may see geomatrical shapes or full visions... it really depends on the person, the experience and the dose...

alot of the dxm visuals seem to be geometrical shapes and patterns...those are indeed the CEVs spoken of. at higher doses (or when mixed with other drugs, pot comes to mind) the visions can become much more enveloping, and are capable of transporting you someplace odd. really depends on what robin himself said, how much does swiy usually use?

Yeah, those are dxm-visuals, but they sometimes do go deeper than that. It depends on the dosage and the person. Swim usually gets two types of closed-eye visuals: a little bit of color but mostly black and dark with geometrical shapes and patterning moving around OR after having eyes closed for a few seconds, everything turns white like one is in a room and that's when swim has the most intense visuals...images and forms come out of the whiteness and sometimes swim will actually go on journeys like she's floating through-out white space and meeting entities and such. These always happen with swim around the 3rd plateau. It helps if the person can just let go and relax. If one is preoccupied then the mind isn't all there and there aren't going to be any completely immersive experiences. But, for swim, if she had taken a reasonably high dose and just relaxed, spaced out, and put her headphones on, the could just have a completely mental trip and never have to move to have fun or really do anything except lie there.

Does swiy know what plateau he should be reaching with that particular dosage according to his body weight? There's a very nice dxm calculator in the files part of the forum here: http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/loc...s.php?catid=44

For SWIM, CEVs on DXM are nothing more than greyish swirling shapes.

What do you mean by "on DXM"? There are many different doses you could take with huge variance in effects, not to mention the impact of set and setting, especially what you had done the 24 hours before the trip (maybe 48 even) and what visual and auditory input you collected in that time.

My Panda has gotten extraordinarily realistic and intense CEVs on moderate to higher doses of DXM before. But without more information your post doesn't really help much.

Re: DXM closed eye visuals

Swim abstained from dxm for 2 whole months then downed 1 whole bottle of robo extra strength without the extraction. Closed eye visuals were of dark demons covered in swords and spikes. They were like crab claws littered in dark blue jewels moving and changing shape in the darkness. This was really scary at times.
Swims current thoughts and fears were manifested in chrome like swirling spiral. Faces would just popup out of know where and just stare at swim behind swims eyes. Smiling faces of people swim has never known. Swim could control the sword wheeling demons to slash and chop in to the faces at will. It was like playing quake or doom with your mind there were dark corridors and sharp jeweled crab claw shaped monsters all moving about aimlessly in the dark. Everything was liquefied and mutating. Swim could almost control everything with his mind but it was hard to remember which thoughts actually worked to make things move.
Swim had a completed loss of consciousness for 10 seconds complete amnesia during this moment swim was standing on top of the harbor bridge in the city looking down at the cars and shit then swim was back in his room. At times there was a complete landscape all changing with pine cone blue objects but everything was soo dark and hard to see, but there was a lot of shit in the dxm realm.

Swim recovered and resolved certain problems that were plaguing swims spirit for the last few weeks after this experience the resolve was just soo clear and swim cloud just let go and not worry. There was nothing to worry about anymore they were just useless ego bound obsessions that have no value. Swim was now emotionally free from his tomb

SWIMS racing horse recommends complete darkness, sitting or lying down.
In complete darkness you do not have to close your eye lids, thus makes the trip more realistic. It’s like being in another dimension just turn out the lights and bam you are there.

Isolation tank would be the best, upright version like William Hurt does in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altered_States Altered States.
Any longer than 12 hours you will genetically regress back in to a monkey.

Re: DXM closed eye visuals

Swim's DXM CEVs seem more real than reality. He can usually remember that he always has the option of opening his eyes to end the experience...usually.

As mentioned, darkness helps a great deal. Meditation helps as well. Tobacco can make the visuals stronger, but can also give the trip a harsh edge.

Swim finds he enjoys sitting in the shower with the lights off (he knows better than to take a bath). He loves the white noise of the water around him.

Re: DXM closed eye visuals

Labmonkey will have to try that shower idea... Labmonkey gets all kinds of visuals behind his eyes. Usually starts out as a gray rough surface that looks like stucco but soon he drifts up and the "dxm stucco room" opens up into whole vistas ranging from very clear visions of sitting out in the forest looking up at the trees and stars (although he is in his room) or speeding through multidimensional colorful craziness beyond description. But yes, sometimes it's just the boring gray stucco.

Re: DXM closed eye visuals

Swim knows what you mean about the gray stucco, though he's found that the color depends on the ambient light (gray when it's dark, but often red or blue when in a room with light). It seems like an infinite plane of wavy curtains that moves slowly towards him. Reminds him of the red curtains in the Black Lodge on the show Twin Peaks.

He also often sees a light gray representation of the room around him but with additional 3d objects sticking out of the walls. Reminds him of Eraserhead.

He suspects David Lynch is a fan of dissociatives.

Re: DXM closed eye visuals

Very interesting cut and paste on CEV’s

Levels of CEV perception

There are several levels of CEV perception which can be achieved either through chemical stimulants or through meditative relaxation techniques

Level 1: Visual noise

The most basic form of CEV perception that can be immediately experienced in normal waking consciousness involves a seemingly random noise of pointillistic light/dark regions with no apparent shape or order.
This can be seen when you close your eyes, but try to actively look with your eyes at the back of your closed eyelids. In a bright room, a dark red can be seen, owing to a small amount of light penetrating the eyelids but taking on the color of the blood within them. In a dark room, blackness can be seen. But in either case it is not a flat unchanging redness/blackness. Instead, if actively observed for a few minutes, one becomes aware of an apparent disorganized motion, a random field of lightness/darkness that overlays the redness/blackness of your closed eyelids.
For a person who tries to actively observe this closed-eye perception on a regular basis, there comes a point where if you look at a flat-shaded object with your eyes wide open, and try to actively look for this visual noise, you will become aware of it and see the random pointillistic disorganized motion as if it were a translucent overlay on top of what is actually being seen by your open eyes.
When seen overlaid onto the physical world, this CEV noise does not obscure physical vision at all, and in fact is hard to notice if the visual field is highly patterned, complex, or in motion. When you stop trying to actively observe it, it is not obvious or noticeable, and seemingly disappears from normal physical perception.

Level 2: Light/dark flashes

Some mental control can be exerted over these closed-eye visualizations, but it usually requires a bit of relaxation and concentration to achieve. When properly relaxed it is possible to cause regions of intense black, bright white or even yellow to appear in the noise. These regions can span the entire visual field, but seem to be fleeting in nature.

Level 3: Patterns, motion, and color

This level is relatively easily accessible to people who use LSD, and appears to be what most people refer to as colorful visuals.
However, it is also accessible to people involved in deep concentration for long periods of time. When lying down at night and closing the eyes, right before sleep the complex motion of these patterns can become directly visible without any great effort.

Level 4: Objects and things

This is a fairly deep state. At this level, what you are thinking becomes visually manifest as if it were a real object or environment. When this level is reached, the CEV noise seems to calm down and fade away, leaving behind an intense flat ordered blackness. The visual field becomes a sort of active space where what you think is what you get. A side component of this is the ability to feel motion if your eyes are closed. For example thinking of moving down may cause the interior of an elevator to manifest in the CEV field, along with the distinct perception of physically moving downward. Sometimes it feels like you are in a room that is familiar to you.
Opening the eyes returns one to the normal physical world, but still with the CEV object field overlaid onto it and present. In this state it is possible to see things that appear to be physical objects in the open-eye physical world, but that aren't really there.

Level 5: Overriding physical perception

This is the point where it appears to the outside world that a person is either unconscious or insane. The internal CEV perceptions and think-it/feel-it perceptions become stronger than physical perceptions, and completely override and replace open-eye physical perceptions. This can be a potentially dangerous state if a person is still mobile while literally off in their own little world, but by this time most people are motionless are not likely to do something hazardous to themselves or others.
This is the point where most hallucinogenic references say it is a good idea to have a "sitter" present to watch over the person using the chemicals, and keep them from accidentally harming themselves or others while deep into their own world.

Re: DXM closed eye visuals

Hmm, at 240mg of DXM, SWIM usually have insane CEVs as soon as she shuts her eyes. But they aren't just shapes and random colors, more like..lucid dreams. She said she was floating in the center of her room with her room just spinning around her, fast and fast, till her room was gone. She was in space, on top of the world, she saw it all. Then she was a fish, swimming in a river.....

Another SWIM said she saw bears dancing in a forest. Everything was to the beat of the techno music playing in the background.
