exercise = no absorption (LSD)?
alright so dude thought it would be a good idea to take some LSD and go on a bike ride to the beach (a couple of miles from where dude lives). Dude consumes two geltabs and his buddy consumes one. They take a detour to this mountain biking trail, it turns out to be more physically taxing than expected. Four hours later both are left with nothing but sunburn, no trip. Could it be the fact they were drinking a lot of water and sweating, or that the tabs never digested because of the exercise? Dude took a geltab the week before and it worked and it was his buddy's first time so its not a question whether it was acid or not. Dude was very disappointed. If dude were to take it again two days later, would there be any tolerance to it even if the effects never set in?

Evidence shows that serotonin receptors become desensitized immediately after use of psychedelics. This means that there is a clear decrease in LSD's effects if trips are undertaken in close proximity. Dude might need up to a week without taking any psychedelics (excluding cannabis) in order to build up dude's tolerance again.
SWIM personally likes to wait at least two weeks between trips or even longer to potentiate LSD's effects fully. |

At LEAST a week is the standard rule here. Doing otherwise is a waste of a perfectly good molecule.

but dude is wondering if exercising after taking tabs would nullify the absorption or activation of the chemical. what could dude do to maximize the absorption the next time? could it be that the bottled water he was drinking contained chlorine?

could it be that serotonin was already excited during the exercise?

SWIM has had similiar effects before, SWIM thinks your mind may have been too active riding the bike, especially if it was 4 hours and physically exhausting, and by that time your body may not be able to cope with your minds exhaustion, and with possibly already weak acid...you probably just didnt notice. How was the bike ride itself?did you easily ride through it? were you anymore conscious then your ride up to the guys house?? His tolerance level is probably another setback.

after close examination of his bottled water source, dude found that it contains "minerals added for flavor". Including that of potassium chloride. Any similarity?

Possibly. But wouldn't it take large amounts of chlorine to subdue LSD's effects? SWIM wasn't even aware that chlorine could effect LSD. SWIY will need another opinion on this one I'm afraid.

based on dude's research (google) it only takes a small amount of chlorine to neutralize the effects, which also shown true in dude's previous trip attempts. Dude doesn't drink soft drinks and only drinks bottled water (with the minerals added). The only time it worked for dude was when he did not consume with that brand of water. The question is, does potassium chloride (KCI - potassium chlorine) pose the same risk to dude's precious blotter molecules?
