Safety First with avinza (morphine)

My friend has disk probs and has been taking 90 mg. of avinza along with 75 mg. of Lyrica 2 x day for pain. He was recently given 100 mcg. fentanyl mylar patches and was interested in their effects. From reading in this forum I was able to relay to him that the majority opinion seemed to be one thing-BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE PATCHES. As a result of this research my friend has recently tried chewing 1\3 of the patch along with 6 5\500 vicodins and reported back to me that he enjoyed the results immensely. I'm happy to say that he did not OD and heeded your advice carefully. He asked me to say that he appreciates the great public service this forum is doing by keeping safety first. Keep up the good work!

two pieces of info: max daily dosage of tylenol(THE SECOND NUMBER IN DESCRIPTION 5/500) is 4000mgs. which would be 8 5/500 vicodins per day keep that in mind also chewing patches is foolish and dangerous. Also from swims experience the withdrawals involved with long term opiate abuse far outweighs the euphoria of first time use. Swims advice is to not start a habit at all just think of the worst flu you've ever had multiple it by 1000 add insomnia, panic attacks, restless leg syndrome, a lifelong craving, its not worth it stick to occasional use and you'll be better off.

Buzzfactors advice is advice you should heed. Opiate withdrawal is very unpleasent and using one of the strongest opiates available like Fentanyl is not so wise. Also check out Tylenol dangers and dosages here.(tylenol is better known as acetaminophenen.)
