This is a very basic response: ephedrine does not cause neurotransmitters to leak from their storage vesicles while amphetamines do. This is why amphetamine is much more apt to be abused then ephedrine.

In line with your post, but to narrow it down a little.....Amphetamines have a MUCH more pronounced effect on the dopamine system and that's why there abused more.....Ephedrine mainly effects norepinepherine via Beta receptor stimulation.

Ephedrine can quite useful, it depends really on what you are wanting to use it for. If you want someting to wake you up a bit and even give you a bit of a buzz then epedrine is good but in SWIM's opinion, you can only take it for so long before the affects get less and theres no point taking any more. Its good for if you wanna go out but you have work or something the next day and need to get some sleep and be normal afterwards.

If you are wanting to have a heavy late session, then Amphetamines suit this better, you can take them for much longer and the high you get from them will be better, but you will more than likely be unable to sleep when you wish and it will take a lot longet to recover from it.

thanks, my problem with amphetamines is that the speediness is only good for a while, and then it's impossible to sleep afterwards, and if sleep comes its not even good, cold sweats and shit... im hoping ephedrine will give the speediness but have an easier comedown, true?

It will yes, but you say swips speediness with amphetamine is only good for a while but it is shorter with ephedrine. But swip will feel better and sleep better with ephedrine.

ephedrine will give some speediness, but it always seemed a bit "dirtier" feeling to swim than amphetamines. a slightly heavier body load, more of a strung out feeling, etc. however the comedown is much gentler than amphetamines, lasts shorter, and sleep is possible. however if swiy has no tolerance to either, ephedrine works just fine for pulling an all nighter, studying, etc.

poo isn't a word I use often but I would say it's appropriate when looking for a comparison between eph and amphet,ephedribe just makes one jittery and shaky without the buzz and rushes
