Drug info - Question about 3 day LSD trip: Possible?

I've been wondering this for a long time now and I was hoping some of you could help. I hear some people say that they took so much strong acid (for instance 5 hits or so) and they trip for 3 days straight; my question is is this even actually possible? It sounds like they could be just bullshitting but I don't know. Is it possible to trip like this>?

thats a great question, swim has dropped acid once, then when hes commin down drop again, and such for 2 days but idk.

swim did once od on dxm and tripped for 3 days... delsym polystritex.... but that dxm has anticholonergic effects that shut down the metabolism and gi process of metabolizing the drug.... does lsd?

all of the DOx' compounds that are commonly passed off as acid can last upwards of 24 hours easy... they taste more metallic and bitter or so swims heard.

It is very possible to trip three days off of lsd but the amount you would need is pretty high. SWIM doesnt have an accurate estimate as to what kind of dose this would take, but it would probably be a high mg dose. No 5 normal potency blotter would make someone trip for 3 days unless it was some DOX chemical. DOB can last a very long time and the side effects might last up to 3 days. Three days is even pushing it for the DOX compounds.

Tripping for three days would likely be the result of taking something other than lsd. Maybe DOB fly can last this long? This story also sounds like just another trivial myth, a story of something "my friends friend......" did.

LSD could spark an episode of some hidden mental illness also. If you took a small dose of lsd and trip for three days, you might need to see some kind of doctor. SWIM is sure that some people have experienced a three day trip but most of the stories are made up.

Last time SWIM did acid he took 4 tabs, double dropped then took another 3 hours later and another 2 hours after that and was tripping for around 17hours.

acid, unless taking an extremly large dose and i mean extremly large dose will only last 10-16 hours or there abouts. the norm seems to be 12 to 14 for swim.

About 6-7 years ago SWIM went out drinking with a buddy and got hammered...after returning from the bar SWIM and his freind decided to eat some L...SWIM had 5 vails that each contained about 5-7 drops in each one...SWIM and his freind split the vials, then SWIM took the vials and filled them with White Lighting (moonshine) shook them up and quirted the entire contents on 1-1/2 vial into his mouth, SWIM could tast the L..anyways being as SWIM and his freind were drunk, he thought his friend was fucking with him and refilled the vials with water..so SWIM grabbed them and squirted both into his mouth..as soo as SWIM did this he reilzed that the vails were still full an his friend did not take them yet..SWIM wishs he had a picture of what his face looked like when he reilzed this. This was the most intense trip that SWIM has ever had, and he has eaten alot of L mass amounts at one time. SWIM made his freind leave casue he was scaring him, he tripped for over 48 hours. At one point SWIM was in tears to girlfriend after 2 days he just wanted it stop, and really wondered how much he ate...It last about 2/ 1/2 days then SWIM was finnaly able to concetnerate and sleep, but was still tripping..SWIM had tracers, and could see the walls melting for many days after he was tired, or stared at them..SWIM almost went crazy, and has never felt the same mentaly after those couple of days...

If one takes enough say 2000ug, about 20 hits of good acid then you will trip for 48 hours+

It also depends on the user's psychological and physical makeup. SWIM used to get lingering mental and visual effects for days after even a normal dose. But he's always been half crazy anyway...

Of course its possible to get stuck in a trip. Believe me. SWIM heard of many, many people in psychiatries, who took acid and got a bad trip, that lasted for a few years. Medically you would call this a psychosis. set && setting....

Ontopic: Maybe they took not only acid but methamphetamines as well? This will prolong the trip.

What is possible is for a person with an undiagnosed mental illness to have a latent psychosis manifest while under the influence of a major psychedelic. This can give the impression of one "not coming down" from, say, an acid trip.

Such an event requires medical intervention. Proper screening would greatly reduce the chances of this happening.

So if SWIM had a bad trip. And became paranoid over something, overwhelmed with fear. SWIM could feel that way for the rest of his life?

So basically, you can only ever get 'stuck' because the feelings of a bad trip stay with you forever. The hallucinations will end? Just the feelings of paranoia/fear will stay. And if you have a goods trip, it's inevitable you will come down?

Don't understand me wrong. There is a difference between a psychosis and just a bad trip. A bad trip means an unpleasant feeling during the trip, whereas a psychosis is a severe mental disorder, which mustn't come along with drugs. But you are right that it _can_ feel kind of similar. Paranoia, schizophrenia, hallucination all these things you can have both with a bad trip and with a psychosis.

That is terribly bad information.

Somebody who suffers from scizophrenia, or is a latent psychotic can bring on a psychotic episode on acid. That is why it is not reccomended that you take psych's if you have any of there conditions- or if there is a history of mental illness in your family.

A trip lasts as long as it takes your body to metabolise the Acid. Anything else you "hear of" is urban legend/anti drug propoganda and downright ignorance.
