Other - A Friend of Phungus's Story: Fatality Due to Driving on Mushrooms

This is the story of a very tragic accident that took place a year
or two ago, told to me by a very close friend of mine. It really
sticks in my mind. Thought I'd share it with you guys. Sorry
about the lack of detail, as this is all that was told/I remember.
Anyways...

A friend of Phungus (AFOP) had a friend, C. They were like brothers.
One night, AFOP and C were drinking at AFOP's place. AFOP is ready
to call it a night, but C wants to go to some party which had
mushrooms and god knows what else present. AFOP is really against
C going but can't really stop him, and C goes to the party without
AFOP.

A few hours later, AFOP gets a call. Turns out it's C's mom.
She says, "C is dead."
AFOP is all like, "No, that's impossible. I just saw him a little
while ago."
C's mom is like, "Really, he got in a car wreck."
AFOP, thinking she's joking, says, "Dude this isn't funny, C's like
my best friend. Stop fucking with me!"
C's mom is like, "AFOP. He's dead".

So, anyway AFOP goes out to the location of the wreck. C had been
driving well over the speed limit (it was on a highway) and had
rolled his car into a field. He was not wearing his seatbelt and
had gotten thrown from the car. There were paramedics around him,
but it was pretty obvious there was nothing that they could do.

AFOP tells them to get the fuck away, let him die in peace, just let
me be with my friend. They give in and back off.

AFOP holds C. Recognition shows on C's face. His pupils are huge.

He says 3 last words:

"I fucked up."

And then he was gone...

The tragedy that resulted from driving under the influence of
mushrooms...

That must have been a tragic time for AFOP.

That is a tragic story. Shrooms are just too powerful of a substance to drive on. Hopefully no members here will drive under the influence of shrooms after hearing this. Like C, you could kill yourself, or even worse, yourself and a car of innocent people. Just dont get into this type of situation....please I am truly sorry about your loss.
