lorazepam - tasteless?
SWIM obtained a few Lorazepam a while ago and took one last night, SWIM chewed up the pill and it was totally tasteless?
SWIM thinks it was a 1mg pill, was small and yellow. Should it be tasteless? |

Lorazepam (Ativan) is anxiolytic, anti-emetic and promotes sleep. It works well together with ondansetron. Lorazepam tablets are almost tasteless and dissolve in the mouth without the patient having to drink.

The taste of pills is very dependant on the brand (presumably related to various binders). SWIJ took some valium recently for pre-interview anxiety (new prescription) and they tasted vile! Could have been that she chugged it dry and it kind of dissolved at the back of her throat though.
@Handyman: As far as SWIJ is aware benzos do NOT have antiemetic effects of themselves. What do you mean by "it works well together with ondansetron"? |

Thanks for the help.
SWIM had a very good sleep that night so the lorazepam did its job, felt fine in the morning too. |

In SWIM's experience, the yellow Lora's are 2.5mg and have a mild, sweet tatse. Nothing horrible or bitter about it like Xanax.
But like said before, depends on what kind of brand you took. |
