rather simple question, can Heroin be injected intramuscularly(sp?)?? SWIM has experience injecting IM, since his dad used to bodybuild and he's seen/helped him shoot roids on many occasions, so it would be less risky since he already knows what he's doing

Case Report A 42-year-old woman with a 17-year history of injecting heroin presented to the SFGH ED with a low-grade fever and tenderness and swelling in the left deltoid region. Because her veins were scarred heavily by intravenous injection of heroin, she had been injecting intramuscularly for 10 years. She denied sharing injection equipment but admitted reusing her own syringes without cleaning them. Despite increasing pain and swelling in her left deltoid, she continued to inject into that area for the 2 weeks before admission. I wouldn't recommend it.

Buddha once experienced heroin via IM injection from missing a vein, and it hurt like hell for 2 days. However, he does know a few people who have skin popped it regularly that just get used to it.

Just IV it in a small dosage to test your tolerance.

If morphine is obtained or diamorphine that is pure, there is no issue with IM administration. If impurities are injected IM or IV thats where issues occur.
