Yep, kicking bupe is harder than methadone
or anything else I've had to withdraw from. I'll explain the method my doctor in rehab used, which I hated at first but now I see it was pretty smart.
Let's say you're on a dose anywhere from 2 mg and lower. Take 2 mg on Monday, then down to 1.5 (or 1.75, whatever's comfortable). Switch every other day like this between doses for at least 1 week, then the next week or so take that 1.5 mg to 1 mg (or 1.25) and do the same alternating method. You do feel somewhat uncomfortable but it isn't near as bad as full blown withdrawal
That worked for me until I went cold turkey
at .5 mg (after I had left rehab). Goddamn that cold turkey from even .5 MG sucked horribly. I'm not sure what that stick you speak of is, it must have come after my time on the meds (I used the pills and the strips, which were both pretty excellent to measure a dose with).
If and when you do decide to just quit cold turkey, or are just feeling like dogass in general, the supplement Valerian Root worked wonders for me. It's kind of like a natural valium
of sorts and relieves some of the anxiety and crawl-out-of-your-skin feeling. Another thing is smoking copious amounts of medical weed
I hope that helped a little bit. If you have any questions feel free to message me. Withdrawing from every form of opiate
became a way of life for me for too long, including Suboxone
