Is this Salvia divinorum?

Ok is this Salvia http://www.samplant.com/pics/Salvia%...tfriesland.JPG
If so is it the ''right'' kind? Because by swims school thy have plants that look EXACTLY like that and swim was wondering if it was salvia.

Not even close.
This is Salvia:

Only grows in the Sierra Mazatec region of Mexico, pretty much. Not by kids high schools.

P.S. what made you think that was Salvia?

Well because right by it there is a plaqe that just says salvia.

It's May Night Sage (Salvia nemorosa).
It's not what SWIY wants.

see what simple searching can do? I recommend you try searching for your answers first, and if you come up empty handed, ask away.

What can I say swims freind got his hopes up. Swim can get an acualy pic of the stuff so you can be sure though but it will be tommorrow

No, I'm very sure it's not salvia divinorum.
There are no purple flowers, or any resemblence at all. Did you look at the picture I posted?

Salvia is a genus, not a species. There are a mass of plants in the salvia genus. The species Salvia divinorum also belongs in this genus.

He means "Salvia" is a genus, a broad category with specific species that fall under this category. Salvia divinorum and salvia nemorosa fall under the Genus category, but are each different species.
Basically, man... those plants are worthless. Just buy it or grow it...

Chia sages
