I agree with the fact that people talking about future illegal activities or plans is intolerable and they should be punished but speaking of past experiences of drug use is not illegal and could never hold up for even a search warrant

my father's been a cop for 20+ years so i kinda know some shit about it, it's not illegal to tell a cop you've done drugs because there's no fuckin way to prove it! i could walk up to a cop on the street and tell him i snorted an 8-ball last week and he could do nothing about it because all i'd have to say was i lied

Thats bad advice man, the past could mean that someone is up to the same activitys now. Whats right in one country can be the opposite in another. Besides, SWIM(Yes,SWIM)is fucking tired of this discussion. SWIM rules, he can do anything.

The MODS are the ones who keep this forum safe and running. Sometimes the "MODS" have pissed SWIM of to the point of whatever, but it doesnt matter, cuz the MODS make this place work for most people here. Maybe not for the god of poker, but certainly for the god of SWIM(No, SWIM is not looking for green dots).

With all due respect, I would not ask a cop for legal advice! The Rules are the Rules, Pokergod, & no amount of bitching is going to change them. They are there for a purpose - to protect what is after all an international community, working under different laws, different levels of liberty & freedom, different standards of what is acceptable, but with the common strand of being under the scrutiny of Law Enforcement agencies who are waiting for the slightest excuse to take sites that don't conform to their standards down - witness Overgrow, The Hive, probably many others. Real people have been busted because they got careless. Don't think for a minute that LE don't watch this site, don't think for a minute that LE don't talk to each other, even internationally. People can't afford to get sloppy.

It's not just you at risk - it's the wealth of knowledge we have here, it's the Founder of the site - Alfa, who, bless his heart doesn't ask much in return for what he has done. Just a bit of fucking respect. If someone asked you into their house and said 'Don't piss in my hat!', would you? No, out of fucking respect for that person's wishes. Can you see a difference here? I hope not.

If this community is to work, we cannot have different Rules depending on where in the world you are. The NSA are already tapping MySpace & similar sites. They may already be tapping this one. You don't know what is happening behind the scenes, & neither do I, but that is no excuse to not follow the simplest of requests. The self-incrimination rule is not an arbitrary bit of nonsense that Alfa & the Mods made up for a giggle - it is there because it has to be.
