Re: Codeine experiences

Okay.. Explain to me this? I take a bottle of wine, swallow about ten of my 10mg Codeine Phosphate, 450mg Paracetamol pills (AKA Adco-Dol).. Feel very nice especially if I add a J to the equation... I'm very interested in this CWE thing.. But not utterly convince its going to be very beneficial? Am I totally off mark?

Rather go for the red Sinutab ('Sinutab with codeine') - codeine 15mg; paracetamol 300mg; Phenylpropanolamine 25mg; Phenyltoloxamine 22mg. (Phenylpropanolamine was 'banned' by the FDA several years ago, due to stroke risks - advise you read up about this. I 'tripped' once, due to Phenylpropanolamine I believe). Sinutab wth codeine is available OTC in RSA. Grab some coffee filters, and you're a for away.

Re: Codeine experiences

been on codeine for quite sometime now. Started off with a stronger opiate, The H but with the law here coming down really hard on classified drug abusers, i decided 5 years back that am never ever going to be jailed again. It was a good thing anyways, coz i managed to spend over a year clean. My daily consumption of codeine is at least about 160mg - from codeine cough mixtures. Dhasedyl and Phenseydl being my main source. I need at least a good 90ml to get a pleasant sense of contentment and optimism. On days when im not working or schooling, i'd try not to take any at all. maybe just couple of diazepams or nitrazepams, occationlally alprazolam to keep me less edgy. I find the CWE a tad of a hassle so i usually just do the coughies. I realise if i take a 2 day break from it, and take it after, on a relative empty tummy, i get a longer duration of the codeine effects. I dont get much of an itch or feel naseaus probably coz phensedyl syrups have promathezine which really helps with the usual discomfort from just codeine alone. Also it has a nice amt of pseudoephidrine, which sort of gives me an upper feel. I usually dont take benzo with the cough mixtures as it nvr really appealed to me tho most say that a valium10 is good to take along. http://home.intekom.com/pharm/aventis/phensedl.html

thats the link for the phensedyl active contents. On a daily basis my buzziness comes very subtly at about half hour mark. peaks at about 45min-hr, slowly comes down very subtly in at the 3 hour mark. If i do take a 2-3day break from codeine, the whole session could last for about 4.5 hours. I usually take benzos when the codeine starts wearing off or on days that i dont take any codeine. Well I'd have to agree with alot of ppl, that codeine tho is not physically torturing to come off, but it sure get me quite lathargic and moodless when im off. And cough mixtures being the only legal source of a good hassle-free, its quite difficult (psychologically) to want to stay off it, esp since many clinics here stock them. really boils down to will power. But i do enjoy the sense of contentment that if gives. In fact i like to make myself a really strong dose of black coffee to go along with the cough mixtures and the caffeine appeals to me when im on codeine. IMO, nitrazepams go really well with the ending mins of the codeine bliss. I wouldnt take them both together. Nitras really does ease the jitterness or edgy feeling from codeine comedown. The come down on codeine was nvr really too much to handle for me, but couple of benzos help me slp better after codeine use.
cheers

C'mon dude, that is just so ridiculous. Not only are you taking far too much paracetamol, but you're taking alcohol with it!? Do you have any idea how toxic that is to your liver? Do you have any regard for the well-being of your own liver? Seriously, learning to do a CWE will not only be benificial, it will potentially save your life.

Re: Codeine experiences

SWIM took 120 mgs of Codeine may be close to 110 (Lost some in the process) Then smoked 3 bowls of weed and got what SWIM always gets. Intense relaxed feeling, almost like nodding off, just respond to music really well and totally relaxed and feel wonderful for like 3 hours.

No itchness or anything unplesant.

Re: Codeine experiences

SWIM has just had his first codeine experience after performing a CWE on 50 x 500/12.8 cocodamol tablets. Therefore, assuming 100% yield I had 650mg codeine, though I strongly believe I had around 2/3 or even as low as 1/2 yield.

Here is SWIM's diary, it seems a little angry but that is how he seemed when I met him before the experience too. He said he had been depressed and thought codeine might make him happy, if just for a little bit. SWIM said he had heard so many positive things about it.

7.50PM - DRANK HALF THE BOTTLE ON FULL STOMACH

7.55PM - NOTHING SO FAR

8.30PM - FEEL NOTHING STILL - WHAT THE HELL, TO TOP UP TAKE 4X COCODAMOL 12.8/500

8.45PM - NOTHING

9.20PM - NOTHING - DRANK MORE CODEINE, TAKE 1XCOCODAMOL 12.8/500, DRANK TONIC WATER

11.15PM - NOTHING, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS CR*P

SWIM told me he had heard that some enzyme inhibitors such as SSRI antidepressants reduced or even eliminated effects of codeine, so he was hoping for the 'reduced' option, maybe 50% effectiveness, meaning his total dose of around 300mg might be downscaled to 150mg, which is fine for a first go of codeine with no tolerance. However, SWIM discovered that taking an SNRI (he is on high doses of that every day) completely removes any effects. SWIM felt absolutely nothing, which is damn surprising. SWIM wishes it wasn't this way. SWIM can't even take DXM because of the interactions with his SNRI, SWIM says this sucks military c*ck.

jb2008 added 4 Minutes and 6 Seconds later...

PS, I say "I had" because SWIM made me hold the CWE before he took it. I advised him not to do this.

Try dihydrocodeine (paramol) an over the counter product. SWIM gets little off codeine and finds dihydrocodeine very effective. It's apparently 2.5 times the strength of codeine. For a first time i wouldn't advise more than a 32 pack.

robshaka added 32 Minutes and 42 Seconds later...

Just to reiterate, don't don't go over 32 tablets for your first time as you did with codeine. Your body might have a higher conversion rate for dihydrocodeine and you could end up killing yourself. DHC is strong so be careful.

if you continue to take those doses of paracetamol, you will probably be dead in a few months. no joke. if you read the back of the packet it even says that you should see a doctor even if you feel fine, because the hepatoxy often isnt noticable until it's too late. thats why people who OD on paracetamaol wake up feeling fine and then die a few days later.

Re: Codeine experiences

I'm by no means saying that you guys are wrong, higher than normal doses are harmful to your body, just as a night of over drinking is harmful to your body. But saying that my above mentioned doses are deadly, I think is a bit of an overexertion, with a little research I found this:

"Research shows that the common threshold for liver damage to occur from a single paracetamol overdose is 15 gms (30 tablets) although standard hospital guidelines allow an extra safety margin and assume liver damage could occur at a single overdose of 24 standard tablets or 150 mg/kg body weight, whichever is the smaller."

Re: Codeine experiences

Swim's friend was prescribed Tramadol 50mg pills and Methocarbomol, which is a muscle relaxant (dosage unknown) for a vehicle accident.

After taking 2 Tra and 1 Metho, she was very exhausted, could not move, passing out. 220 Body weight for ref.

Swim started with 2/1. 150 body weight. Mild feelings of relaxation, easy to fall asleep but could stay awake, able to interact fully and do chores. Lasted 2-4 hours.

Next time, 4 Tra, no Metho. More relaxing, mild pleasant itching, very positive mood. Lasted 4+ hours

After, 6 Tra and 2 Metho. More intense but still def. able to handle. Lasted 4-6+ hours. The best yet. Nausea next day from the relaxants, Im sure. Would not increase the dosage over 300-350mg, and the relaxants did next to nothing for me.

Swim has done marijuana, cocaine, hydrocodone, DXM, poppy seed tea, PZP, salvia, Xanax. Codeine is by far the favorite out of all of these.

Re: Codeine experiences

I'm very certain it won't have much effect. First of all, a large part of the codeine will be destroyed by the heat of the burning cigarette, and codeine cough syrup usually aren't very concentrated, while codeine isn't exactly potent either. That means one will be needing a lot of dipped cigarettes.

#1..Codiene experience for my pet iguana in even taking 4-6 of the tylenol 3's made his head itch so bad it was no fun, plus it even went numb at one point and all his pores were exposed and was unpleasent..

#2..hydrocodone Swim experienced for the first time tonight using the CWE and it has been alot smoother and less stomach irratation.. But a side note.. His back where he thinks his kidneys would be hurting is throbbing and aching.. Swim has just tried to drink alot of water to help flush system..

#3..oxycodone is Swims favorite of ALL! He has yet to try the CWE on it, and looks forward to that time.. Swim thinks the oxycodone gives him a great taste in his mouth letting him know it's working and then it starts to give that warm opiate great feeling that swim has heard others have had with their Drug of Choice..

Re: Codeine experiences

Noddy decided to indulge in a high dose codeine experience yesterday afternoon on a relatively empty stomach. He estimates (accounting for CWE losses) that he took just over 400mg. Unfortunately for Noddy however, he had forgotten to take his regular dose of 50mg dimenhydrinate half an hour beforehand. So when the codeine hit him, he started itching like a motherfucker, especially the palms of his hands and his head. The itchiness was way over the top and very uncomfortable and ruined the whole experience for poor Noddy.

Moral of the story: never forget your antihistamines!

Re: Codeine experiences

Why does the antihistamines keep noddy from itching?? It has been a long time since Swim has used codiene but he remembers taking like 6 tylenol 3's and the itching was so bad he thought he might have to go to the ER due to his head going numb.. He was freaked out and never did that again.. swim is just curious as to why the antihistamines would keep the itching from happening? Sorry if this is listed somewhere else..

Re: Codeine experiences

Codeine causes the body to release histamines (allergy molecules). Histamines cause itchiness among other things. Antihistamines prevent the release/action of histamines therefore reducing the itchiness one would otherwise get from codeine. Some histamines (first generation, such as dimenhydrinate and promethazine) also cause sedation, which some people find goes very nicely with opiates.
