Various Opiate Experiences With Dosages

Hello after filling a little more in a journal i keep for SWIM i felt that i should include the following on this Forum. Please note that all drugs listed below were administered orally and mostly without opiate tolerance however some tolerance may have developed that SWIM was unaware of. I hope this helps potential users of opiates to gauge for effects and dosage. I have included a brief introduction to each opiate in case one cant be bothered to look elsewhere in the forum. I also begin with what i believe to be the weakest opiate and end on the strongest.

The following information is from SWIFantasian's Personal journal.

Codeine - an opiate derieved directly from the opiate poppy, for weak to moderate pain. Commonly prescribed when paracetamol or weak NSAIDS have little or no effect.
Natural opiate

Clinical dosages(uk) - 30 - 90mg
Upcome - 30 mintes - 1 hour
Peak - 2 hour 30 minutes
come down - 2 hours
Total duration - 6 hours (average) ((duration is prolonged at higher dosages))

30mg - Nothing felt here, no recreational potential at this dosage.

60mg - Nothing really felt at this dosage, when taken for a headache or similar aching type pain tends to work slightly better than weaker pain killers. Still no recreational value.

90mg - The threshold effects for a recreational experience, a slight tingling and relaxed feeling. No other effects of opiates are noted at this point.

150mg - Definate effects are felt at this dosage, slight sedation, tingling present and a general sense of relaxation commonly felt with many opiates. Urinary rentention seen at this point as well as constapation. There is a euphoria at this dosage which isnt seen at the lower 3. It should be noted there are significant day after effects, of sickness and general roughness similar to that of a hangover.

210mg - With this dosage i felt a significant jump from the 150mg dosage, euphoria is much more present as is sedation, tingling definately present throughout the experience. Slight nausea is present but nothing too intense. Movement becomes difficult once the peak is reached and urinary retentation lasts well into the day after the experience and constapation further so. The day after effects are also more significant making for a day in bed recovering.

Codeine dosage was stopped here due to worries about toxicity.

Tramadol (AKA Ultram)
Clinical dosages - 25, 50, 100 mg
Synthetic opiate
For moderate to Severe pain
Onset - 1 hour
peak - 6 hours
Comedown - 3 hours
Total duration - 10 hours

There has been slight arguements whether Tramadol is a true opiate however due to it acting on the opioid receptors my own interpretation is that it is.

It's effects are the same as all opiates, dizziness, lightheadness, nausea, respiritory depression and of course Euphoria.

In comparison to other opiates it's effects are longer lasting than ones such as codeine and morphine but not as long as methodone. There are suitable dosages comparisons if once again you UTFSE.

a brief word on tramadol from SWIM: "an enjoyable but slightly too stimulating high for opiates,long lasting and not very intense, in SWIM's oppinion not one of his favourites but has it's rightful place"

Briefly on dosages(accounts in the first person from SWIM):
Doses are oral unless specified otherwise

50mg - Surprised that at the lowest dosage it was prescribed to me having such an effect, i feel a tingling throughout my body and a general relaxed feeling.(it should be noted that at this point SWIM has little or no tolerance to opiates)

100mg - The same as above however more pronounced the dizziness played a large factor here and made moving around a little more difficult. Only able to really watch television, goto the toilet and move small distances.

150mg - Euphoria and dizziness increased further however sedation usually associated with opiates not present. Much more difficult to move around, even getting to the toilet is difficult and leaving the bed is becoming harder. Urinary retention also present however still able to urinate. Noted that there was a physical withdrawal or hangover effect for 20 hours post use after the posative effects wore off.

200mg - Euphoria significant, bed ridden, require aid to reach the toilet however not much point as urinary retention and constapation is significant. Same effects as above but more intense.

250mg - no new effects than above, hangover slightly less pleasant causing several times of vomiting..

300mg - Still no new effects, conclusion that a ceiling effect is reached at 200mg no further experimentation above this dose will occur.

100mg Snorted - burning sensation throughout the nose, very small high less than that of a 50mg oral dosage. Not reccommended



Buprenorphine(temgesic) A mixed antagonist, agonist opioid. Commonly used to treat addiction but in SWIM's case prescribed for fast pain relief due to it being sublingual.
Synthetic opiate

Clinical dosage 0.4 - 0.6 mg
For Severe pain with rapid onset
Onset Sublingually - 30 seconds - 2 minutes
Peak - 12 hours
Come down - 12 hours
Total duration - 24 hours 2 minutes


0.6mg Sublingual - rapid onset of effects, almost as fast as an injection however no rushing feeling of opiates present. With this i noticed a very differant feeling than the usual opiates. In some sense I felt the relaxation and usual opiate feelings however felt they were being withheld or contained. I liken it to a starving person having to eat a choclate cake slowly. It is a strange sensation indeed. (please note this is prior to any addictions i might possess) Less of a after day effect however one is still present.

Morphine

My strongest experience that i remember lies here with morphine. A strong agonist opiate present in the opium poppy. Given as one of a few final options to treat severe pain.
Natural opiate

Onset Oral - 30minutes - 1 hour
Peak Oral - 5 hours
Comedown Oral - 1 hour
Total duration Oral - 7 hours

Onset IV - Immediate
Peak IV - 4 hours
Comedown IV - 30 minutes
Total duration IV - 4 hours 30 minutes

Onset IM - 10 minutes
Peak IM - 5 hours
Comedown IM - 1 hour
Total duration IM - 6hours 10 minutes

Oral dosages:

5mg - An effect similar to that of 100mg of codeine, with all the same effects, sedation and euphoria however seem cleaner somehow. a slight hangover the next day but nothing severe

10mg - Strong opiate effects, euphoria felt, strong sedation with a difficulty to move around without aid. Urinary retention present at this dosage making urination impossible for 24 hours. Post usage withdrawal/illness is present for 1 days of feeling sick, tired and rough. However post usage problems are copable.

20mg - Intense opiate effects - Euphoria significant, very strong sedation and strong nausea. Urinary retention and constapation relatively severe. A very relaxed yet intense feeling. Moving is neigh on impossible due to degree of sedation and dizziness when standing. Post usage withdrawal/illness is present for 3 days of feeling sick, tired and rough Similar to that if flu.

25 mg - Same as above with more pronounced nausea, to some degree i feel like a ceiling effect has been reached again. Post usage withdrawal/illness is present for 3 days of feeling sick, tired and rough however at 25 mg this is more pronounced but doesnt last longer.

IM dosages:

10mg - Similar to that of oral dosages except a much faster onset of 10 minutes and more sedation was felt however this may be due to setting.

IV dosagesnausea wasnt present in IV dosages due to the co-administration of an anti-emetic like cyclizine or buccastem)

2mg - A slight rush for a hundreth of a second felt but no after effects or sedation or euphoria.

10mg - Significant euphoria and sedation similar to that of 10mg orally however the feeling seems much more sedative. There is a pleasant rush on administration that in the future i will grow to crave. This is one of the most pleasant yet dangerous highs i've ever experience and lead to my entrance to the drug world.

20mg - Very intense rush, possibly due to the nurse who administered it's lack of experience. Sedative effect significant euphoria significant however SWIM does note at this time that the effects are too intense for an enjoyable experience. It feels less like he's got into a euphoria boat and more like he's been hit by a euphoria bus.


On a side note SWIM has also experience pethadine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone and diamorphine however he isnt satisfied with his reports for them to be considered accurate at this point.

this is extremely comprehensive, and good info on the dosages. hopefully this will keep some people from getting in over their heads. swim is wondering if swiy took these experiences from use over consecutive days, or if some days were spaced out between each experiment.

All of these left at least 3 days for recover and usually more. These methods were also used with the cyclizine and mushroom reports.

Please when people view them if they find them posative can they rate them please, or if they find a problem with them can they inform me please.

I feel i can update here with Oxycodone experiences

The following is taken out of SWIFantasian's Personal diary.

Oxycodone
an opiate derieved from the opiate poppy, for moderate to severe pain. Rarely prescribed in the UK as the step up from Tramadol tends to be morphine.
Synthetic opiate

Clinical dosages(uk) - 5 - 20 mg
Upcome - 30 mintes - 1 hour
Peak - 2 hour
come down - 4 hours
Total duration - 7 hours (average) ((duration is prolonged at higher dosages))

Oral
(note: Opiate tolerance is of concern at this point beware of dose adjustments)

5mg - Very minor effects felt, slightly more relaxed, a little bit sleepy

20mg - usual opiate high felt similar to 10/15 mg of Morphine, enjoyable and i am still able to move. Analgesia is very effective at this point. Usual euphoria present.

40mg - Intense opiate high similar to 20-30 mg of morphine. Enjoyable, however movement is becoming difficult, opiate dreams experienced and usual euphoria.

60mg - One of the most intense opiate highs i've experience so far, I think at this point i was very close to an OD, the high became almost overwhelming it was difficult to see or focus as my head felt that fuzzy. Itching was there but not as pronounced as well as codeine was. Unable to move or do much for moter coordination, it is notable that the sitter at this dose nearly decided to administer Nalaxone. Im not sure that the euphoria at this increased dose was really that much higher, more the physical effects of the body were increased. Urinary rentention and constipation also present for the following 24hours after use.

good oxycodone report! swim gets some weird experiences at 60 mg oxycodone too and he has a hell of a tolerance. for some reason if he shoots past the 40 mg point too fast, he gets the same visual and motor effects, along with a headache, paradoxically. probably at some point, based on ones tolerance, the negative effects overtake the positive with trying to dose higher.

SWIF just wanted to note that after leaving over 8 months of non-opiate use he retried to codeine at a relatively high dose to see if his tolerance had changed. It had in fact returned to opiate naive. 200mg gave a nice euphoria. It was stange however the withdrawals appeared the day after in as much force as the end of his opiate phase. SWIF found this interesting, when an opiate naive person tries it for the first time, the following day hangover effect tends to be very mild and as the user uses opiates more and more gets more and mroe severe. After SWIF's break there was no return to the original mild hangover. If anything the hangover/withdrawal was somewhat more pronounced.

SWIF also notes that as he associates the opiate euphoria with illness and withdrawal he atually now finds the euphoria dysphoric in a strange sense. Like eating too much choclate and one feels sickly.

I think alot of respect has been gained from my experiences.

Wow according to this information this SWID's friend (reffered to as from now on lol) should be 8 feet under!! Seriously though takes 120mg a dose and if all is well with the world and has a plentiful amount, will do this every 4 hours except for sleeptime. I guess an average of 5 times a day. With my calculations does at least 600mg a day. And I have talked to others and unless they are putting it on foil, they are all up real close to the same mg's and got there within 4 months! I have begged to reconsider H but looks down at it like is better then those who imbibe in H. (shaking head) Personally I don't see no freaking difference.

Chemical name:butrophanol (sp?)
Dose:5mg orally
Report: swim found this very rare treat thorugh an old pet medicine bottle. 5mg orally was enough to put swim(who is somewhat tolerant to opiates)into a deep and intense nod. Lots of euhoria and vision was severely distorted. More sedation than with opiates such as oxy-or hydrocodone. any other swims come across this substance?
