we have a "saying" take one or two rohypnol; and you fall asleep. Take five or more, and you get hyper.

Is all benzo's like that? like if you take five valium, or halcion?

In SWIMS experience with xanax that has never been the case for him. The more he takes the more tired he gets. Never tried rohypnol though so he wouldnt know about that one.

My friend the lab-ape, Bongo, tried some rohypnols. He felt utterly sedated. He did these to see if there was any truth to black-out periods when poor Bongo could have been date-raped. He found that he might have been rendered unconscious - but not unaware.

Regards this having a "hyper" to it - not likely. Unless an undertaker would call it "hyper" that a mis-diagnosed corpse sat up and wanted his clothes back.

your lab monkey didn't get hyper from high dose roofies .. hmmm.. how many did he take?

never used any benzo myself. but I have an order on xanax coming in. listening to "baby's got a temper", I remembered that roofies are used as a stimulant, and makes one hyper+agressive in high doses

but it ain't the case with other benzo's (?)

Hmm i was under the impression that baby's got a temper was about girls who take rohypnol recreationally and when a guy tries to give it to her to date rape her or w/e she doesnt get knocked out and fights him off because she has a tolerance built up. But then again i may be wrong. On a side note one of my favorite songs!!

hehe. well that's a rather complicated imterpretion. Really I don't know what it's all about. I think of it like she get's aggressive when using roofies.

translates (in short) : take one or two you fall asleep, take five or more, then it has a stimulating effect. Many people does it. We don't like it. They don't get sleepy, but stimulated, this is weird.

Swim finds this very interesting, swim is very experienced in benzos taking up wards of Mg klonapin and other benzos here and there, swim has never became hyper. Swim has never experienced roofies but can't imagine that a CNS depressant like benzos could make one hyper...

SWIY can get paradoxical agitation with ALL benzos. It is a listed adverse effect. Partial withdrawal can also make SWIY feel Hyper.

My completely unscientific advise on the subject, when swim takes a few xanaxs, valium, whatever he just feels tired and lays around the house. When swim takes a lot, he hardly remembers it but he goes out and does fucked up shit, the next day people say things like, "man you were fucking crazy last night" this may be the hyper feeling you are refering to. swim finds that as long as swim can keep moving the sedation won't get the best of swim and his inhibitions are completely gone, so swim goes nuts and is able to stay awake.

SWIF has never experience any sort of Stimulation on Benzo's but then he's never really used large dosages except in hospital when given IV. When this has happened it's hit him like a tonne of bricks and created anesthesia (SP). SWIF will soon be posting the benzo section of his journal just like the opiate one so keep your eyes peeled

You do not get hyper, period. In high amounts it has kept SWIM awake for long periods of time though, but the best description of SWIM in that state would be sleepwalking.

swim just finds this info puzziling and intresting, swim has exceeded doeses of 40mg klonapin (not recomended for no tolerance) and such and he always goes to sleep never gets an atypical reaction, but i guess thats why its called an atypical reaction. thats why swim is now thinking of course an atypical reaction is possible thats why its atypical... its just not common
