POPPY SEED TEA...SWIY regularly drink/use it for cocaine comedowns?
SWIM just tried poppy seed tea to relieve a comedown from blow for the first time and SWIM can't believe it worked! As soon as SWIM started to feel the comedown SWIM drank some poppy seed tea SWIM had made earlier and felt sooo relaxed, it was amazing.
SWIM got it here: xxxxxxxxxxxx SWIJ thinks this site can do without links to totse! Does SWIY have experience in long term usage of poppy seed tea? Does SWIY get physical withdrawals and such? Last edited by Benga; 21-09-2007 at 14:30. |

Well, the effects of poppy tea are not as compulsion-inducing as smoked, snorted, or injected opiates, it is certainly possible to become both physically addicted and habituated to the use of opium poppy tea. Opiates are the classic psychoactive drug addiction. If you take in opiates for several days in a row, your body acclimates to the presence of the opiates and when you stop taking them, your body will take time to adjust. Unfortunately this readjustment can be extremely unpleasant and often leads people to take more of the opiates in order to avoid these sensations, allow them to sleep, etc. There are published case reports of individuals who found themselves with difficult opiate addictions after using only poppy tea. An even more troublesome issue is not just the physical addiction, but the emotional and intellectual habits that can form around using a daily psychoactive. Please be careful.

Before giving it a try you should first familiarize yourself with
http://www.poppyseedtea.com/ That's a site written by mom of the boy who died using poppy seed tea. Apparently, you cannot predict the amount of the opiates in the seeds and this boy passed away using the regular amount he's been doing for quite some time. Altough, there were some other traces of drugs found in boys blood, if I remember right there was nothing else to explain the death. Correct me if I'm wrong. |

"He had taken poppy seed tea several times, always using the exact same amount of seeds and same preparation (3.5 lbs soaked in hot water and lemon juice). The last time he took it, it resulted in his death due to morphine overdose. The autopsy revealed a morphine concentration in his blood and urine that was higher than the lethal levels (click on Coroner's Report, above, to see details)." b |
