welcome aboard jc1234 by the way <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley1.gif">

I used to enjoy drinking (moderately) but thesedays since discovering 2-ci and 2-ce, I find that I hardly bother with alcohol.

Some people who I go out with pop between 4 and 8 pills in a night (e's) and drink a lot - now to me, one surely cancels the other out, maybes that's why they drink so much and pop so many pills.

Also the pills aren't nowhere near as strong as say 14mg's of 2-ci.

Also when drinking, I feel really really tired after about an hours worth of drinking.

I've never had a hangover, and trust me, i should have had many.. I like to think its the Irish in my blood.. Despite me ahve never had a hangover i dont enjoy the buzz i get off alcohol, to much of a body load for me, and just doesnt seem fun, dont get me wrong i like drinking games and i enjoy chugging beers and doing plenty of shots, but mainly because i seem to have such a high tolerance to alcohol, i barely drink these days because i can have a much better tiem for spending the same amount of money on a drug

Drink is interesting, its kind of like a stepping stone.. People who
like it usually move on to something more interesting. Although
some people become big bellied alcoholics and just stick with it.

Jean Michelle Jarre is to alcohol what Aphex Twin is to recreational drugs

Oh, its also legal to drink and get drunk. Recreational drug
taking is pretty much illegal. WHY this is the case, I'll never
know..

I hate alcohol too. It really ruined my life. I'm a binge drinker, it runs in my family. Once I take five shots I don't stop until 30. I started to black out for hours at a time and no one will tell me what happened. It got so bad I woke with a broken ankle and found out one of my friends did it. All you Irish people out their be careful. Know your limits most importantly

I hate alcohol because it makes people behave so stupid. I'm at a party, and we take drugs, someone comes up and says: -Hey I don't know you, what's your name? It's so ugly.

psyko .. I'm not understanding that.. You care to elaborate

I agree that "drinking is ugly", if done to excess, but people coming
up and speaking to you because they dont know you? That sounds
like a good night out with the "empathy" (read: E) crowd

Well, it's only that people seem social in a stupid way. Like they don't really care about you they just want to try to be "funny".

Some people are so drunk sometimes and they go and hug every girls, and generally they tell them to fuck off and they do it again.

I don't really call this "empathy"

Haha, absolutely. When people are drunk they are hugging girls,
trying to eventually have sex with them, whilst the girls are
continually telling them to F off.

When people are E'd they are hugging girls because it feels nice,
because they want to, with no ulterior motives, and the girls know it,
and like it, and probably empathise and recipricate.

Anyway, to the topic of the thread: You hate alcohol? Don't do it. You'll save your body a lot of abuse

A lech is a lech, whether they're sober, drunk, E'd up,
coked up, whatever. People get pissed off with loved
up E heads slathering all over them just as much as
piss heads, and E heads can be just as pushy, it just
seems slightly more acceptable to hide behind E than it
does alcohol.

Alcohol is a disinhibitor, but so is E, coke,
speed...They all have the capacity to turn people into
dicks, and bring out the worst in us all, women
included, if used to excess and if the drug doesn't
suit the individual. Unfortunately a lot of people
just carry on regardless.

Good perspective micklemouse.. of course you are right, "more
acceptable to hide behind E".. My point is when you go to little
luminar meat market clubs (The Liquid's, The Time's, The Jumpin' Jak's
of this world), you have lechy p1ssed up ass holes p1ssing everyone
off. Yep, when you go to the Gatecrasher's of this world and
everyone is pilled up, you have lechy morons p1ssing everyone
off. I think the difference is in the proportion's. If 50% of
blokes are utterly irritating in the first scenario, probably only 5%
are in the second.

Sorry for going off topic, good discussion tho.

That's why I'd like to try GHB. Similar effects to alcohol without feeling terrible the next day.

Bogumil- not all alcohol tasts bad, each person could like something different. Me personally i hate the taste of beer and the full feeling it gives you, me personally will stick with my 99 Bananas (and the rest of the 99 family)... if you ever have a "bad experience" ie. getting real sick off of a liquer, i'm sure that you wont be drinking it for a long time...

I only ran into the not wanting to drink ever thing after i drank 16oz of vodka and then promptly puked, passed out, and had the worst night infront of my parents ever (i posted about it somewhere)... but if you find an alcohol that you enjoy you should be all set.. and who says every time u drink you have to get drunk? i know a ton of people who will drink a beer(or a few), a glass of scotch, or some other liquer to just enjoy the taste

get a craving to get plastered. i have the lowest tolerance, however. i
can puke if i drink a beer at the wrong time, or too fast.

SWIM dosent like to drink unless he is at a party either, sense he is not going to bars yet, he drinks at house parties, and other places. He dosent drink by himself, and he dosent drink very often but trust me SWIM loves to drink sometimes.

Muirner

SWIM could go for a 750ml of 99oranges and oj

I know the feeling. Over the past few months I have started to dislike alcohol more and more each time I drink. Its really quite anoyin as its the only form of drug, thats legal, that i ever actually do. Anyways, I went out on saturday, got stoopidly drunk and then decided to quit!I doubt it will last though, but I just don't understand why it is legal and other stuff is not

Drinking alone is not a good idea, one of the main reasons I drink at
all is because I become very sociable and have a great time with
people, on my own it tends to just make me moody and feel a little down.

I also have decided to give my drinking a rest. I was sick and tired of waking up sick and tired. this past year i had been drinking each weekend, ALL weekend, and it was really beginning to take its toll on my already fractured psyche.
I found that I was losing control a lot more often (a sign of drinking too frequently), and would get black out drunk far too easily.
plus it was getting expensive. I definitely need some downtime to allow my body to recupperate, and my tolerance to go back down to human levels.
