How Much Mushroom Powder Will Fit in a Capsule?
Recently, SWIM had a discussion with an acquaintance who was an organic chemistry major on the subject of mushroom use. SWIM's friend never smoked cannabis, but was into heavily into tryptamines all through his college years and so, by virtue of experience, would appear to have extensive knowledge on the subject.
SWIM's friends drug of choice, however, was mushrooms. SWIM's friend's preparation was thus:
1) Harvest over time of mushrooms as they emerge from the cakes within the terrerrium.
2) When full harvest is completed and cakes are exhausted, dry shrooms in the typical way and then grind to dust in a coffee grinder.
3) Fill '000' guage gel capsules from a health food store with mushroom powder and keep in a cool dry place.
SWIM's friend claims that three to four of these when he ingested them orally, produced quite a strong trip and insured that the shrooms themselves would be preserved assuming they were stored correctly (SWIM's friend stored them in his freezer).
SWIM would like to know if this is, in fact, a good way to preserve and ingest mushrooms.
Secondly: SWIM's calculations are such:
1 ounce = 28,349.5231 milligrams
~A fairly strong trip can most often be accomplished through the ingestion of about one eighth (though some are stronger) of mushrooms while whole.~
1/8th of an ounce = 3543.6903875 milligrams
~The average '000' capsule has a contents volume of approximately 1300 milligrams, so 'three to four' appears to be correct dosing. ~
Any second opinions?
