Homeless?

Swim was homeless years ago due to alot of various reasons but mostly due to excessive drug use. Took a few years in the judicial system and rehab to get over the homeless issue. Question is, how many of the drugs-forum members have been homeless and what steps was taken to overcome the situation?

Swim was homeless last year from september to december...well not totally homeless but he was living in his car (hey at least its a roof). The steps that he had to take to get out of his jam can not be discussed due to rules but you can only imagine what one would have to do to get himself out of a bind like that....it sucks...but you gotta do what you gotta do....fortunetly now swim has a home but he is still stuck if you get what hes saying...

Where Bongo lives is a socialist-progressive land. His city takes, by eminent domain - land that is unused but can be used for housing homeless folk/families in need.

One of Bongo's Recent Favorite's was an extremely expensive condo association: The Mayor and City Council approved building housing for those who needed it: RIGHT NEXT DOOR!

You can imagine the howls and screams of the ultra-rich now having to camp next to the nearly-homeless! Poor babies. I hope they didn't suffer too much....the previously-homeless that is. LOL!

How To: Change The Government!

Back in the late 90's swip and a few friends went out on a road trip.... spending about a year driving all over north america. in each town swip and friends first stop would be to the local library to use the interenet and check emails and get on yahoo to perhaps find some lonely pussy to put us or at least swip up for the night. (which was usually! lol) swip and friends learned alot about themselves on this trip. spanging became second nature, but not in the sence of the desperate kids you may see asking for beer money in every big town; swip and friends were quite a bit more clever. the main way to get some cash for the day would be to drive their beat up old car down the freeway to the next town and kill the engine when getting off the freeway exit. swip and friends would get out and push the car to the first gas station, as everybody is watching them do this. usually they wouldn't even need to ask for money, as it would be offered to them pretty quickly... and not "spare change" ... it was not uncommon for swip and friends to make enough money doing this once or twice a day to fill the gas tank, all for of the kids eat good big meals 3 or 4 times that day, and of course buy at least a 40 sack of herbs ... each and every day. swip and friends learned of a great program called "food not bombs" that serves wholesome meals each day for free; which would save them a couple bucks. swip and friends met so many neat people and learned so much about how the world really works.

how did swip and friends get over their homelessness? they found a cool family that would allow them to rent their large garage and run a "Temple ov Discord" which allowed opportunity for them to make a lot of money illegally ... enough for swip and each friend to have enough to move on to their own places, etc. The secret to not being crushed under homelessness? Stay away from alcohol.

just for a few weeks. swim has had a lot of friends who have been without a home, one in paricular who was homeless for over a year. well homeless may be the wrong word for it considering he crashed at swims place for a year, as did the rest of them. that guy later on let swim crash at his place when swim had some bad luck and lost his apartment. best of buddies ever since. the bottom line is (or should be anyway, not always true): what comes around goes around.

Swim pushed his old truck with a camper top out in the woods behind a roadside cafe. It was about 5 or 6 of us. Regular hobo camp, cooks at the cafe gave us all the left-overs from the buffet. Grazed at the nearby grocery stores. Cops ran us off, when one of the others robbed a trucker. Found out swim had a couple of warrants out on him. Had a chance to get the hell out of Dodge, even jail was better than living in the woods. Nowdays bills come first before anything else. Plus too damn old for that shit nowdays, don't think the wife and kids would like it too much either.

Swim has two german sheperds and the building where he was living was sold and nobody wanted to rent him a place with two big dogs like that.He had made himself a loft in the backstore of a commercial building that his parents owned.but the new owner says he needed all the space so swim got basically kicked out and had nowhere for him and his dogs to go .so swim rented a storage space to put all his belongings, bought an old beat-up 1968 winnwbago for 1000 bucks and lived in it for a year.Swim parked in in the backyard of a friend's building ran a thick main wire to the electrical main,a hose for water.and he had running water and free electricity for a year(he had bypassed the meter so the friend wouldn't have to pay his hydro bill.He bought a small hot water tank and a 50 buck plastic shower and he evn had cable and internet in there.all for free.he ran a wire and connected on his friends router and put a t splitter for the cable. He didn't have a drainage system so the shower and sink were just drained outside to the lawn and he got himself a whole bunch of empty 5 gallon paint drums for the tiolet.he would flush into the 5 gallon drum underneath the winnebago and when it was full he put the lid on and threw it in the garbage and would put a new drum.It took about 5 days to fill one up and the toilet was reserved for number two only and number one was done in the shower drain hole which went outside. There was even a fenced in yard for swim's dogs to run ouside.winter was a little rough but this experience just made swim stronger.

Can't edit yet so I just want to add that swim had to keep the water running all winter from Dec to March so that the hose wouldn't freeze. In the spring there was a massive block of ice all the way to the street about three feet thick lol.Swim loves his dogs and wouldn't get rid of them even for a place to live so he did this instead. He still has them to this day and even brought them to europe when he went to visit his mother.plane tickets cost swim 1000 bucks per dog plus another 1000 bucks for cages to travel and vet certificate to allow them into Spain.
