usp grade ketamine
can someone tell me what this is please. as i have found my SWIM a sourse for it but dont get what the diffirence is between usp grade and normall old k.

U.S.P. stands for United States Pharmacopia. It is one of two grades of chemicals approved for drug use in humans. The other being N.F. - which stands for National Formulare.

If XYZ is labeled as USP, this indicates it is of either US manufacture, or has been licensed to comply with standards set forth by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to be of USP grade. In the last analysis, it likely means that the rats only piddled in the flask 5 times instead of 6.

can i just ask why it would have a number after the usp bit of the label is this to do with strength of product ect... or something else?
