Salvia divinorum 20x perience- I need Answers to a level 5 trip

I am 39 yrs old and have been a drug user for a long time, mainly pot and coke. I have much experience with hallucinogens such as LSD, Peyote and Shrooms however, nothing and I mean nothing was to prepare me for what I experienced with Salvia Divinorum (20x). It was very, very frightening and I need some answers for what I went thru. I am not religious but I believe that what I went thru had deep meaning and was highly spiritual, shamanic in a sense. The thing is that I was so scared and I completely lost touch with consensual reality.
It was late at night and I had been bragging about taking Salvia all day long. I had smoked leaves before and had a short trip almost touching level 3. I got hold of some extract 20x and had no idea how powerful the stuff really is. So I locked myself in a room with my wife as a sitter and took 3 huge hits of the extract. Before I puffed out the smoke of the 3rd hit I was gone. I remember a place where there was a big wheel going round and entities getting on the wheel. When you got to the top of the wheel you went thru a membrane like skin. I got on the wheel after voices convinced me to do it. When I got to the top and started peeling the membrane I felt like I was dying. Voices kept telling me to let myself go when I saw demon like figures coming out of a flesh like wall. Next thing I remember is me struggling to get into my body.
When I started to recover my senses I was on the floor drenched in cold sweat and I was crying like a baby. My wife was so scared by the way I reacted that she was also crying. She told me that I was throwing myself all over the place, all the time with my eyes open and that I started doing circles on the wall with my body as if I was an Olympic gymnast. I am a grown man and being a Mexican you have that macho thing inbred inside, but that did not keep me from crying like a baby and scaring me out of my socks. I have never experienced anything like it. The only thing I know is that I need to go back and deal with my demons. I seek answers and hopefully somebody can shed a light on my experience.

SWIKS just took a deep deep one hitter of 20x and somehow ended up on the floor in the corner of the room being attacked by plugs from various electronic devices. He has had about 6-8 shots of Crown tonight, but in his mind he thought that would help relax him during his Salvia trip.

SWIKS wants to say Fuck Salvia, but he is somewhat to blame. He should have not been so smug to think he can just pack a fatty of 20x and get away with it. Be careful and know your dose and surroudings. Stay away from electronics.

SWIKS is much more in love with his DMT than salvia. The body load is much less on DMT for SWIKS

SWIM had a level 5 experience with 200 mg (accurate to the nearest hundred milligrams) of Salvia 5x extract a few years ago. This experience was a terrifying and a positive, life-changing experience. SWIM felt no need to finish the 5x vial or the rest of the powdered leaf after this level 5 experience since they had already served their purpose, so SWIM let these herbs sit in a drawer for a couple years until he . SWIM does not think salvia is a 'fun' recreational herb (especially in extract forms). However, SWIM does believe that salvia is wonderful to be used for personal exploration, spiritual journeys, and personal growth.

SWIM decided he wanted to have another salvia experience a week ago, so SWIM ordered some 20x salvia extract from a reputable on-line vendor. SWIM felt like he should do this right, so he even ordered a new glass pipe for this experience ($5 on clearance - really nice though). When SWIM recieved the 20x salvia extract, SWIM loaded the glass pipe with 74 mg (accurate to the nearest 2 milligrams) of the 20x salvia extract, laid on a newly carpeted floor, and prepared himself for the experience. As fear and excitement flowed through SWIM's body, he heated the salvia with a torch. Two hits completely combusted and vaporized the salvia in the bowl. SWIM threw the glass pipe into a container laying next to him and felt the salvia flood his world.

SWIM lost all touch with reality during this experience. He did not see any beings or rcognizable objects. Instead, SWIM saw beautiful geometric patterns that changed slowly at first then locked into a formation which pulsated with color. SWIM became this geometric formation and was afraid he would never return to his normal life. SWIM communicated with some entity in his mind after he was locked as this pattern for a short time. SWIM thought this entity was all-powerful and that there was nothing SWIM could do to resist this new existance SWIM found himself in. Terror and confusion were the defining charecteristics of this trip. The peak of the trip lasted for about thirty minutes.

In retrospect, SWIM believes that 74 mg was too drastic of a dose for a good salvia journey on the 20x. This was a STRONG level 5 experience, though. SWIM will probably wait a week until he tries the salvia again at a lower dose. 60 mg of the extract will probably suit SWIM's interests better next time.

SWIMs friend smoked salvia extract and never came down. She has a long history and experience with many different hallucinogenics and most of her trips take a peaceful and spiritual path. Anyway, she smoked a couple of hits, not sure of the concentration or exact dose. She went completely off the charts. She was chanting, moving around like a scared animal and had that crazy schizo look in her eyes.

The next day, she talked about having a spiritual experience where she saw everyone's higher selves and she was communicating telepathically. She was taught her "spirit mantra" hence the chanting. She saw everyone's third eye and had a very hard time putting everything else into words. She was acting very manic, speaking fast, highpitched, crying, restless, etc. Finally we took her to the ER and they gave her a dose of benzos and a dose of an antipsychotic and sent her home.

For the next couple days, this behavior continued and her real paranoia set in. We had to cover all the windows and walls with plain colored sheets and blankets because patterns would make her see things and "eyes" would be staring at her through windows and doors. She continued to be paranoid, manic and crying off and on. This whole time she was very open, expressive and empathetic but had an extremely hard time communicating what she really meant or felt.

She ended up in the hospital for a couple weeks and took antipsychotics for a couple more weeks. She's completely recovered now (this was a couple years ago) and she can speak honestly and openly about the experience. She still has trouble putting it all into words but because of this experience, she has not taken any hallucinogenic again and sticks to MJ.

what was it about her thoughts and actions were actualy consitered non-sane?

i have felt similar experiences myself (except for the eyes in the windows), such as the "telepathic" thoughts and the concept of the third eye.

im i going crazy?

i actualy thought about that for a LONG time the other day. i have this belief that salvia just allows you to percieve the world as it truly is, and im prety sure im not the only one to think that. And if it allows you to precieve the world as it is... then maybe it allows insight into the mechanics of our universe, which can only be precieved as psychosis from individuals within in.

id love to hear what other people think about it.

What is sane or not is an interesting discussion! In a different tribe she might have been treated differently and considered an oracle or something, which probably make her state easier, you know; instead of people asking what's wrong with her, they'd admirre her contact with the gods and it wouldn't frighten her as much.

That's quite odd reaction to salvia. I'd understand better if he hadn't had a single experience with psychedelics in his life before this. You don't know the concentration? As you might now think, it would've been nice to know it before. I'm not sure about this, but I think there's extracts as strong as, say, 60x. Can anyone confirm this? I've only heard once about this somewhere but don't remember where. I haven't also seen this kind of crazy extracts nowhere in the smart shops or online vendors or never heard an experiences with these, though I've read some pure crystalline experiences.

Me and SWIM refer to this as "going inside yourself" because there are three basic kinds of trips I've ever heard of/experienced.

There's one where you stay where you are but at the same time, you're in a different reality (you see the world differently).. Strands of vivid colored matter, and intensly detailed EVERYTHING (threads in clothing, carpetting, walls, etc)

One where you see things that could resemble a past life/future life (sometimes different 3 or 4 at the same time)

One where you completely go inside yourself and have a spiritual journey into a different universe.

The hardest thing not to do during a salvia trip of any kind is to struggle. After you've done enough salvia, you won't.
The only answers I can give you is that, what you saw was another spiritual realm and you have to go back and let yourself go if possible (eventually) and then I feel as if you may be enlightened in someway?
