Cooking and snorting Nubain?

SWIM tried Nubain and has administered it IV and IM and she really digs it. Trouble is, SWIM isn't a big fan of needles and has somewhat clumsy friends and is now sporting some bruises on her arms.

SWIM loves to snort and wants to know if anyone can give some advice about cooking or drying Nubain to make it into powder. SWIM has no experience in these matters except watching someone cook Ketamine into powder. She figures maybe this can work for Nubain too. The Nubain comes in a pharmacuetical vial and there's some more info below on it.

SWIM realizes that the effects will probably be less than IV and IM, but wants to try this anyway and would appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks.


NUBAIN (nalbuphine hydrochloride) is a synthetic narcotic agonist-antagonist analgesic of the phenanthrene series. It is chemically related to both the widely used narcotic antagonist, naloxone, and the potent narcotic analgesic, oxymorphone.

Nalbuphine HYDROCHLORIDE is (-)-17-(cyclobutylmethyl)-4, 5alpha- epoxymorphinan-3,6alpha,14-triol hydrochloride. The vial contains 0.94% sodium citrate hydrous, 1.26% citric acid anhydrous, 0.1% sodium metabisulfite, and 0.2% of a 9:1 mixture of methylparaben and propylparaben as preservatives; pH is adjusted, if necessary, with hydrochloric acid.

I looked around for info re: Nubain and its use as a recreational drug. I couldn't find anyone to say whether it was fun or not, so thanks. And SWIM loves needles...

As for drying I suppose I'd first try what SWIM does with Ketamine, which is suck up 1 CC in a syringe and then squirt it around over a flat surface on which it can air dry. Maybe a saucer or small plate? I'm told you can microwave it, Ketamine that is, which I somehow guess would be similar re: drying, tho this somehow wastes a bit of the drug.

Would love to hear more about the Nubain high, such as duration, dosage, comparative highs, etc.

SWIM will IV a 50 or 70 clicker and within a few seconds gets a rush that is similiar to taking percs but a little less intense. There's a bit of dizziness and eyelids get heavy and eyes roll back in happiness. The initial buzz only lasts for 15 minutes or so depending on dosage. SWIMs guy friends who are bigger do a full 1 CC.

Then a warm, fuzzy, slightly euphoric high sets in and lasts for about 3-4 hours. SWIM feels relaxed and peaceful after the first hour. SWIM loves Nubain because it is an all purpose drug - she can go to work, talk to clients, work out, lay on the couch, whatever.

Here was SWIMs day yesterday:
1pm - 70 clicker of Nubain
2pm-9pm - got lots of work done and stuff around the house
9pm-12am - 5 drinks, 1 percocet, 1 spliff
1am - 50 clicker of Nubain
1:01am - 3:30am - wow this combo is goooooooood, swim would highly recommend

beltane - thanks for your idea abot letting it dry. swim will try it out. thanks for the collective thoughts on IV drug use thread. SWIM passed along the info about flashing two or three times to make sure you haven't lost the vein and guess what - no bruises today.

One more thing - Nubain is a very, very nice way to come down from a night of coke or mdma. If you shoot too much, you fall alseep which is what SWIM needs after those nights.

sorry - its a slang term for a 1 CC syringe. SWIM says clicker, banger or pin.

so a 50 clicker would be 50 units

Please report back on SWIY's experiments with drying Nubain.

In SWIM's opinion, IV can take a long time to just get decent at, especially if there's no one around to show a person the ropes. It can be a lot easier this way.

SWIM tried drying the Nubain on a plate. Left it in a safe place for two days. SWIM tried to scrape it and it the consistency was sticky and did not become a powder. However SWIMs friends are getting much better at IV administration and no more bruises.

Yeah, best way to improve IV results is to find someone who is much better than SWIY and have them shoot SWIY up Still, there's a certain sense of something like pride when it goes juuussst right.

How similar to nubain is temgesic/subutex (buprenorphine)? to SWIMs knowledge they both fall under the category of weird opiate agonists/antagonists. SWIM knows that buprenorphine is easily absorbed nasally, so if nubain is chemically similar, it should be able to be absorbed nasally. beltane's cooking tips are probably better than anything swim could offer, but swim would be interested in hearing if any success is had administering it through the nostrils.

Swim knows someone that has been using nubain for years. Swim says that iv injections give an instant rush where as intermuscluar shots last longer but will not give as much of a rush. Swim reminds everyone that light will make nubain less effective so the bottle should never leave the carton. Also swim advises people to keep nubain in a cool dry place ... once swim left nubain in their car and it looked like half of it evoprated ..... swim also wants to remind everyone nubain is very addictive

Stadol is in the same class and can be administered as an intranasal spray or IV-IM. (see stadol ns)

Get an empty Aferin bottle or similar, wash it out, insert Nuban and spray correct dose. Should work the same way. Happy spraying.
