Duke Rape Case and Date Rape Allegations

I don't know if those of you outside the U.S watch the news but here in the U.S this case has gotten more exposure than I think is warranted. I heard that now there is allegations of the Duke playes using a date rape drug. Supposedly they were making mixed drinks and the stripper was drinking one of them when her eyes became glazed over and she was unable to finish her dance, according to her co-stripper that was working with her that night.

Any thoughts on date rape drugs being mentioned in almost every other case on the news? Even the Natalie Holloway case, they mention date rape drugs possibly being involved..

Whats your take on this? Scapegoat, or Valid?

Yup. It has all the ingredients: Sex. Drugs. Music. Racial Tension....Yummy!

heh, I am surprised they don't just blame it on the music, surely they were listening to 2 Live Crew.. I mean cmon' black strippers with upper class white boys.. it's so obvious. The music made me do it.

Case in point: 2 hours ago 3 blasts were heard in Egypt. At least 100 dead reported. 1 Hour ago, update, 80 dead, obvious terrorist attack. 30 minutes ago: 50 people dead, confirmed terrorist attack. Just now: 10 people dead, terror attack.

This downward trend of people surviving these terror attacks needs to stop! We need to keep sensationalism up, and if that means the death toll, so be it! RATINGS PEOPLE! RATINGS!! Even if we have to propogate a nuclear war, we must get ratings!

Sounds like a rumor.... If there was any reason to believe that she was drugged then a drug test would have be taken. I think it's public knowledge that the accuser was intoxicated at the time. Allegedly (if the events occured) she was still fighting againts the 3 rapists, hence the injuries she sustained. It's not as if she was passed out and the rapists decided to beat and strangle her while she was unconcious.

The injuries she sustained and her testimony are not consistant with someone who has been drugged and raped.
