MAN DIES AFTER SWALLOWING DRUG
A man died Friday afternoon after swallowing a half-ounce of methamphetamine during a Thursday arrest, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reported.
Deputies served an arrest warrant on 46-year-old Charles Larry Whitley about 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Sam Auto Parts at 3455 County Road 542 in Lakeland, a Sheriff's Office press release stated.
Whitley was wanted for sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a church, possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release stated.
About an hour and a half after deputies arrested Whitley, he complained that he was feeling sick and was sweating and acting unusual, the release stated.
Whitley told the deputies and EMS workers that he had swallowed about a half-ounce of methamphetamine.
Deputies called an ambulance, and Whitley was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he was "initially listed in stable condition," the release stated.
He later died at the hospital shortly before 1:15 p.m.
Whitley's death is being investigated by the Polk Medical Examiner's Office, the State Attorney's Office, and the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations and Administrative Investigations Section, the release stated.
"Even when facing arrest, it is critical that meth users never attempt to ingest evidence. The result can be deadly," Sheriff's Chief of Staff Gary Hester said in a statement.

Reminds me of another case. A 16 year old boy was arrested for loitering in my old home town. He was found dead on an overdose of barbituates in his cell. They said they searched him - but failed to find 200 capsules of pentobarbital. Shortly thereafter they shot and killed a 13 year old for driving a car without permission. They got a medal from the county judge for that.

Man, people don't realize how potent meth is in it's purest form. If swim were to swallow a gram of pure meth in one shot, fuck.. (shivers) heheh, I don't even want to go there. The 13 year old boy, named Loren Haskell, borrowed a car from the foster-parent he was living with in Methuen, Massachusetts. The police in Lexington, MA set up a roadblock next to a gas station to try to stop the kid. The kid simply pulled into the gas station and exited around the roadblock. Officers' Anderson and Birch opened fire with their .357 revolvers - claiming they were aiming for the tires of the vehicle. The bullets entered the back of the child's skull. The car went out of control and ran through a fence and crashed into a house.

The Judge felt they did a dandy job of protecting the community and issued them medals for meritorious duty. Bang!

The judge - John P. Forte - later was retired after he was charged with attempted homicide for running a man over in the parking lot of his country club in Belmont, MA. No charges were prosecuted as a result of his retiring from the bench.

Thats just stupid. but one of those things i suppose how anyone can shoot a tire and disposit around in that kids head, is beyond swim its not difficult to work out how to aim a pistol. either away if they had shot out a tire with .357 round it would of done the job and the kid would of lived tragic. as from what boyo says its more powerful than a 9mm does'nt have so much as a kick comparing to a 44.

A friend of swims swallowed 4 grams once after smoking about 5 grams over 3 days which already had him paranoid as fuck which is why he put the bag in his mouth to begin with he thought the cops were outside and put the bag in his mouth just in case and next thing he knows he pulls the bag out of his mouth and he had chewed a hole in the bag and the bag was then empty needless to say yea he freaked the fuck out bad he swore people were outside with shotguns trying to kill him and that his girlfriend had set him up so he wakes her up with a hammer to her head throws the bed up against the window to block the window and a dresser in front of the bed room door and held her captive in the bed room freaking on her saying if they wanted to kill him they had to shoot threw her to get to him finally after about 3 hours of this and about 300 holes in the walls and ceiling from him hitting shit with the hammer she calms herself enough to convince him that she sees the people too and is scared and knew nothing about who they were or why they were there he then chills out on her but is freaking still over what he thinks he hears and sees. finally she convinces him to let her go hide in the bathroom and he moves the dresser from in front of the door. and hauls ass out the door and outside in nothing but his boxers. his girlfriend being fed up and tired locks the door and lays on the couch to goto sleep finguring he will come home when he starts coming down (in the back of her mind she hoped it would be a long long long long time if ever) finally about an hour later she is woke up by a car pulling in the drive way its a sheriff's deputy car she walks outside and realizes its a cop whom is a family friend. he asks her "what the hell is wrong with this boy and what is he on" she stupidly lies to him and says she doesnt know that he came home drunk and they faught and he left. the cop laughs and says "hunny he isnt drunk he is on meth and was walking down the road with a hammer crying that people were trying to kill him and was in front of the nieghbors house begging them to call the cops and help him. he also swore up and down to the cop that someone kept driving up and down the road trying to run over him. she told the cop she had no clue if he was on meth or not. he opens the back door to the car and asks him if he had been smoking ice he tells the cop no. the cop closes the door and asks her if she wants him to take him to jail. she thinks about it for a second and says no he will be ok he just needs to eat and goto sleep. the cop opens the door again and asks the man "i'm going to ask you one more time to tell me the truth have you been smoking meth if you lie to me im taking you to jail" the man finally admits it and the cop uncuffs him and tells him to go in the house and eat and goto bed if he sees him outside that house at anytime he will take him in. so the man goes inside. the cop asks the girlfriend one more time "are you sure you dont want me to take him in" see repeats no. he gives her his business card with his cell phone number on it and says "if he gives you anymore problems call me and ill be here in a flash" also tells the girlfriend that he would be back in about an hour to check on her. well she goes inside the boyfriend is still freaked out a little but calmer than before but he swears he isnt crazy he knows someone was there. she is to tired to fight with him at this point and just tells him to find her proof and when he has proof that someone was there then he could wake her up till then he best leave her alone or she will call the cop back to the house to get him. she goes back to sleep on the couch and a while later gets woke up by the cop asking "is he ok" she just points toward the hallway where he is walking about looking for his proof he cop sits him down and tells him to straiten up or else and that he would be watching him very very close from there on out. well finally the girlfriend feeds him a few valuim and makes him eat he finally crashes and sleeps for 4 days only waking to pee and drink (he was completey dehydrated). needless to say he never touched the stuff again.

In Polk County, FLorida, USA, it is a worse charge if you possess/sell drugs within 1000 feet of a church or school. That's the Polk County mentality.

swim used ta crash after a three or four day tweek then have a tweeker friend he could trust wake him up 8 hrs later with a half gram blast.let swim tell ya thats one hell of a way ta wake up.swim seen a dude freak after doin a half gram blast and all was good cause he was rushin and gettin that first awsome feeling.well the dude got greedy and said the shit wasnt anygood.well swim told him to chill the fook out and be happy where he was but he kept bichin till someone gave him another half gram blast ten minuts later.neeless ta say he wound up in a mental instatution,kept sayin there was people tryin ta kill him.he ran out of the house and got nabbed by the cops cause he flagged one down to protect him from imaginary assasins.least thats the word that got back to tweeker central.that was 20 yrs ago ,man time flies seems like one day yer young and good lookin then you look in the mirror and yer older,but still good lookin.hehehe a mans got ta know his limitations.wonder if that freak who flagged down the cop ever knew his................tinman.............

A friend of my mothers was arrested and had an unknown amt of meth and swallowed it and died.

He was pulled over and apparently swallowed all of it they took him to jail and held him overnight for DUI. During the night he started seizuring and was dead by the time they checked him in the morning.
NOTE: the jail is fairly small and when there is someone watching you can preview the jail cells. there are only 4 cells.

Many ppl in community were outraged that the night person didn't catch it and provide medical attention but no one ever got charged. His death was ruled accidental overdose.

This is only one of many fedup stories of my local cop shop!
