Grinders and pure THC

i was told by a very questionable source that when you put your bud through a grinder, a lot of that shit that gets left behind is pure THC, and that if you let it build up after putting a lot of dope through it, you can tap it out onto a sheet of plain white paper and scrape it up with a razorblade, tap it into your pipe, and get the most amazing THC high, as if you've smoked an 8th, but without the stoned dopeyness of the CBD, like pure psychedelia, and all out of 2 hits on your pipe

is this true? anyone tried it? if it is, i'm buying a grinder, even though i smoke through a pipe and i don't need one, just for this, it sounds excellent, but i'm very sceptical

Well its not pure THC but yer THC crystals and pollen does build up in your grinder after a while. You can get special sifter grinders that have another layer which sifts out the crystals so you can save and smoke them later. You can only get presses to compact the powder into a solid lump. SWIM likes collecting the crystals for a few days or so then putting them all on the top of one bong hit

Yes, swim also likes doing that and as well collecting the crystals and pressing them into hash.

sounds excellent, the other thing the guy said was that if you keep your shit in a tin or something like that rather than anything plastic, when you empty it, there's a lot of dust left in the bottom, and it's only the good stuff that falls out, so fishing it out with a razorblade is worth it, i've tried and tested this and it's very true

CBD is still present in there and other alkaloids as well. THC is not the only thing that matters.

SWIM uses a Crystal Twist grinder to get his kief out of weed. He then makes hash out of it using cellophane and an iron. The hash comes out in a green/yellow slab and crumbles pretty easily. It's a nice strong high.

Yes. The cellophane (along with a damp cloth) protects the kief from burning when pressed with the hot iron.

The damp cloth protects the plastic, and don't turn your iron up too high. Start low and work your way up. Swim hadn't done this in years, mostly pulling the moisture out, right?

ahh right, it makes sense now, still I imagine it would take SWIM a long time to get enough keif to get any decent amount, but you've got to start somewhere, SWIM'll get to work collecting right away, I wish for his sake that grinders with screens were cheaper, i'm sure he'll manage

They're not that expensive. Some are well affordable even on SWIM's lowly college budget. It does take a certain amount of time to gather enough kief but it's worth it in the end.
