Experiences - caffeine anhydrous

A friend of mine, whom I won't have the occassion to see again for some uncertain, unparticular reasons, had what he called "caffeine anhydrous." Or "freebase caffeine."

We smoked 1/2 - 3/4 mg in a vapor-pipe and it gave a speed-high for about 10 minutes.

Ingesting higher dosages produced long-lasting super-caffeine highs.

Either way, it's more convenient than coffee and tea for a quick, legal, pick-me-up, although coffee and cigarettes remain a time tested social ritual.

But: I haven't been able to find a supplier. Most chem. suppliers don't seem to carry it. Any suggestions?

1/2 - 3/4 mg?!?! You sure about the dose as that would probably be too small to see and I'm pretty sure caffiene isn't that potent since a can of red bull has 80mg in it, and the lethal dose is in excess of 1000mg.

Sorry but that's bullsh*t, even though it's smoked you need ALOT more then that to feel any effects, let alone to get a buzz.Here are the oral caffeine dosages:

Yer cfb1 corrected himself to say 1/2g-3/4g, how would one freebase caffeine? Would you just use ammonia or something similar?

I've been doing a little research; I can't seem to find the substance for sale anywhere on the net. I'm beginning to wonder if it was speed or some other amphetamine. Some kind of ephedra maybe? It didn't feel completely like speed and definitely didn't have so many of the nasty side-effects.

idk. swim was stupid enough to actually smoke coffee, straight ground coffee in a bong once and he felt quite a speed feeling from 1 bowl of coffee (and thats not pure so maybe pure caffeine would require less) so i think its possible... the feels swim got was similar to drinkin a lot of it but concentrated in a quick burst and it was unpleasant, too intense but not euphoric like amphetamines.

SWIM did some research on this and found some good solvents for caffeine: benzene, chloroform, trichloroethylene, dichloromethan. probably other (nonpolar) solvents would work well, because caffeine is an alkaloid.

As a material for caffeine extraction, swiy should use caffeine containing drugs, one of the best-known is vivarin, which contains 200mg of caffeine and can be found in most pharmacies.

but, seriosly, I dont think this would have any great effects. I just use vivarin as a caffeine source, and 400mg are more than enough to keep you active and awake for a long time.
